I've just watched 21 & 22 which I recorded from Toonami today. I was only expecting chapter 21 so finding 22 on afterwards was a nice surprise.

what's up with grievous' eye on that republic gunship lol. very nice caps, thanks.

It´s not Grievous´ eye, it´s markings that mimick markings on old WWII fighters.

Heh, now that I think about it, it does look like his reptillian eye.

Good call on the "Betty", should have that in future versions. :heavymetal:

The ARC rescue was awesome. The ARC gunship flew in low past the droid army, dropped the clone squad inside the Acclamator and covered them from behind while they extracted Aayla and Shaak-Ti and tried to kill Grievous. They even had a guy with a blaster gatling gun and a guy with a portable quad-laser cannon (!) Then they took off, detonated previously dropped charges to clear the way, and left Grievous standing with new lightsabre trophies.

Then there´s a segment with the Jedi Council debating whether to let Anakin become a Jedi (gave more council-members lines than in the movies, liked that), and him secretly meeting Padme in a back-alley on Coruscant.

At the end, they have a ceremony in his honor, making him a fully-fledged Jedi Knight and he takes off in his new Eta-2 fighter. (Gets R2 as a gift from Padme.)

All in all, the first 12 min of the new season are solid. More lines by the characters help flesh them out, couldn´t really think of anything real awkward (besides the C-3PO "disrobing", but that was intentional *shudder*). And as said before, the ARC search & extract sequence is pure gold. :heavymetal:

As a bonafide EU hater, I have to say... that this episode wasn't bad at all. I quite liked it. While still EU, I really liked the scene were Anakin becomes a Jedi. Really neat how they all ignite their sabers as the only light. One GLARING error, though. There was no purple saber in that circle. Whoops.

I sincerely hope they leave out the shit-type EU, like Asaaj Ventress (shudder), from the rest of this season.

If you missed the episode, it's up on hyperspace, or you can wait until tomorrow when CartoonNetwork.com puts it up.(or so they're advertising)

Only chapter 21 was on in the US.

In the UK 21 and 22 were shown.

Seen ch. 22 now, bit more disjointed than 21. Had a montage, some personal scenes and a bigger storyline, all bundled together.

They referenced Asajj´s final fight with Anakin (he meets Padme and she sees his scar). Then the light in their room goes out. (Reference to making Luke and Leia?)

The Separatist Commander with the red uniform (from the Desember-gallery) only appears in one sequence, but he was funny. He´s got this twitching eye and keeps yelling that his base can take on hundreds of Jedi! (It´s got a massive set of turbolaser batteries) When only Anakin and Obi-Wan appear on the horizon, he´s disappointed, but then a fleet arrives overhead and all hell breaks loose.

Several ROTS-references in this one (hundreds of Cruisers like the Invisible Hand, AT-RTs, ARC-170s, Venator Destroyers, a small Juggernaut-like vehicle, Tri-fighters etc.)

Grievous trains with Dooku, and Sidious appears via hologram to prepare them for their "final operation".

Anakin and Obi-Wan grow into war-buddies, they go on all kinds of missions together, while the Separatists wreck havoc on countless worlds (including Kashyyyk).

Finally, they travel to a remote planet where Grievous is said to be in hiding. It´s the snow-planet from the trailers, and they fight a huuuuuuuuge blue creature. Anakin kills it and several natives in masks appear, angry at what he did. Then it ends at this cliffhanger...

Saw Chapter 23 this morning after 22, the Coruscant invasion continued with some pretty cool visual moments featuring Mace, Yoda and the ARCs.

Also of note, the Mustafar Anakin figure that had him with a tattoo is explained in this episode.

The UK seem to be getting two a day, 22 and 23 were on this morning, I assume it'll be 23 and 24 tomorrow.
