avatar restrictions are a bad idea

tony no one likes your titty avatars. darthy told me to tell you that but I forgot until just now. I'm sure darthy doesn't like your giant avatars and that's all that matters

I along with the other admins got fucking tired of wasting time downloading, resizing and then re-uploading avatars that were way too fucking big.
Tony, there was nothing wrong with your last avatar save for the fact it was way too fucking tall. Futhermore your current avatar is not fucking acceptable here either because it's filesize is WAY TOO FUCKING BIG.

A fucking x-boarder "Skyvortex" or some such, whose whole posting career @ MF consisted of bitching about his/her title, avatar, and sig picture - requested a 650kb to 750kb animated stick cartoon gif as an avatar in this x-board thread here, - which is now edited out. When someone pointed out the filesize, "Skyvortex" then comes over to MF, uses the animated gif as an avatar here amd bumps up a old thread with a post which only consists of himself/herself quoting himself/herself's previous post.
Of course Skyvortex was removed from the premises along with all of the account's posts
Be considerate when choosing an avatar and posting imbedded images. Some admins want NO IMBEDDED PICTURES and NO AVATARS.

PLEASE UNDERSTAND that there is some behind the scenes bitching about this and has been for some time. If we didn't like you your ass would be gone already.
Avatars are now restricted to 190px wide by 230px tall. Our avatar sizes still are bigger than TheForce.net, Something Awful, X-boards, Sombrero.com, Killer Movies, Chud, etc.
Regarding image imbedding.... Please note that some admins are mostly on dialup - SI, Ternian, and IU. The other two admins - Spoiler and myself have highspeed access and even then it's hard for me to open image heavy threads at times.
