I guess the processor speed combines to be 2 teraflops. I'm guessing that's a pretty okay speed. I don't think it's as powerful as the XBOX 360, but it looks to definitely give it some competition. Plus it comes with seven controller ports.

What are you looking more forward to, the new XBOX or Playstation?

PS2 was the weakest in power of the current generation (though it ended up better than the GC because of the games, IMO). So they'd have to do something fabuloso for me to want to get it. Including the blu-ray is good, but pretty worthless right now given the lack of anything on blu-ray.

I think, of the new generation console, I'll get the XBox360.

Anyone else amused by the timing of the the 360 and PS3 information releases? All within a couple of days.

I'm looking forward to the Playstation more... Will be amusing to see the price they start selling them at here in the UK, their usually ridiculously expensive here.... but then again everything is here.

If the controllers use bluetooth that means it would be battery operated, that would get kind of annoying if you've been playing for a while and suddenly the batter power starts to run dry in the middle of a game...

I've got a PS2, but I've been thinking about getting an XBox because I'd like to play KOTOR and Halo. What would really seal the deal for me would be to hear that the 360 is backwards-compatible, but Microsoft doesn't seem to want to address this yet. What's the big secret?

that x36 controller actually looks a lot more comfortable than the xbx controller.. but I agree the ps3 controller looks like shit. So does the console itself though

I recon XBOX will take the cake for the Next Gen... but I was speaking to a PS freak today... and fuck are they relentless fucks... the dribble shit about the XBOX having no soul, no games dare I say more fucking bullshit... they live in the darkages when PS was king... and they don't like the fact theres another strong and more preferable console on the market... and before they sell out to Microsoft they're willing to suck Nintendo's tiny japanese penis, why I don't know... In conclusion... XB360 will probably release first and take the market by storm... PS780 will advertise strong without a price and keep PS freaks holding out... THEN the Nintendo NextGen will come out... late as usual and noone will give a fuck, because everyones settled into there respected consoles and doesn't care... God and Men alike will hope again, that Nintendo will take the cake and realise they make a fucking shit console and they should just turn to Development like Sega and put Mario games on the XB360 and PS780...

XB360, is going to do better this time, with a strong market and well good fan base... it along with its price should be pretty dominant...

PS780... its Sony and sadly people still beleive Sony are the fucking man... (although there PSP looks nice)... They're going to hold a very strong market, but I have a feeling they'll feel the heat more this round, as XBOX did enter the round about 1.5 years late last time and managed to sustain a big margin in the gaming market... Being first doesn't guarantee sucess, look at the Dreamcast.
And as long as Sony has major support from developers, you can bet they'll beat the 360, since they're playing the same game.

Ok I must admit... I have to take my XBOX hat atm, and just look at the PS3... although the style is the worst out of the XB360 and Nintendo (who'd by a nintendo anyways)... Ive just looked over the complete specs and fuck it is pretty... its going to have just a little more juice than XB360, and have Blu-Ray... but still... the amount of juice it has over XB360 isn't much to rag about, the quality of games is going to be just about as good... either way... the one thing I find more sexier is the Blu-Ray... the possibility for huge games (I mean really fucking huge games, 30gig+ here)... is going to open some doors, especially with Final Fantasy...

fuck, ill just buy both... that will settle my mind... ill just wait for Ps3 price drops, because Blu-Ray really has me unsettled about the price...

i'll spare you the technical jargon DKR, but the currently fastest video cards on the market the 6800Ultra(Nvidia) and the x850(ATi) only have 16 pipelines, whereas the last generation 9800pro(ATi) and FX5900(Nvidia) only had 8 active pipelines, so quoting that quote. oh i didn't know it has 3 processors lol, it will still have some damn power, 3 processors on the same board with 48 pixel pipelines to slam on, it is bonkers, for now, ATi's new R600 core is rumored to have 64 pipelines, and will be able to kill all 3 of those processors put together soooo. No console will ever get a chance to say it's graphics are better then a PC, no matter how hard they try (and their trying hard)

fact is it takes to long to get the console developed, when they started designing it, it was the most powerful thing out there, but by the time they are released their gonna be "decent" to say the most.

PS: im waiting for M$ to come out with a handheld that will crush psp, just stick a nice fat hard drive in it and im game.
