I'm confused. The 30th anniversary is next month and we havent heard nothing about the possible dvd rease. I would have thought by now u could order it and there would be tv spots and everything, but nothing. Another thing, Mr. Lucas is undoubtadly affair of the speculatoin aamongst the fans but he hasnt publicly mentioned and i wanna know y not.

Actually Lucasfilm has put out a release a few months ago saying that there isn't going to be a 30th anniversary boxed set as they're upset with the sales figures of the Original Trilogy (non-edited) versions.

Though I'm not sure what they expected, they gave us crap, and got crap back...respect your fans, we're not stupid.

They never actually called off a boxed set altogether though right? What I have been waiting for are the special features, namely an "Empire of Dreams" for the PT. 'The Beginning' was cool, but one for the entire PT would be great.

No one knows for sure what the fuck is going on. All there is right now are just internet rumors (yes I will call them rumors) from Bill Hunt @ The Digital Bits and a few other websites. I'm sure we'll get more info during Celebration IV next month.
