There are things worse than death.

Torture the guy, make him WANT to die, and then don't kill him. Make him live through hell. Death is too forgiving for him. I say put him through the worst possible pain that won't cause death. Make him live that way for the rest of his life. Make him REGRET what he did.

Either way, he's out of the way, but if you torture him, he goes through worse pain than he put others through.

I don't remember the exact numbers, but California pays something like 10,000 a year to keep it's prisoners in jail, and 6,000 for supplies for every student. ridiculous.
