Not to get all Sally Struthers or anything, but I saw this and I thought it was a pretty easy way to donate a little money to the relief aid in Asia. Especially if you got an Amazon gift card and have a few bucks left on it. What happened in Asia is really truly horrible. With over 50,000 people dead at this moment and the risk of disease about to become a very serious threat, it’s pretty important. Rather then leave $5 in your Amazon account to pay for shipping on something retarded in the future, you might as well give it to the Red Cross and perhaps contribute to the health and survival of the people who are currently suffering from the effects of the South Asia earthquake and tsunamis.

I donated and it's amazing to see how many donations are being received so quickly. I was there for a few minutes and the amount raised jumped by about $10,000 over the span of a few minutes.

Yeah, from all the reports I have seen the Australians are rising to the occasion. Most of the news interviews I keep seeing here in America contain reports interviewing Australians; I suppose because they speak English and they are really helping out in great numbers. I also saw that there are problems with sending people over from all over the world because those people need a means of supporting themselves while they are there. Which once again comes back to money being needed.
