The Holocron Adventure?

What's that cube in the center of the packaging? Is that a Holocron? Are they trying to hint at something that happens in Episode 3?

Is this a sneak peek at the events rumored to take place on Kashyyyk?

It's interesting that it's the first time a holocron has shown up in marketing materials outside of an EU novel or comic (that I know of). Anyone know if LFL, Dark Horse or Del Rey are planning any books or comics set during the Clone Wars about searching for a holocron?

I dunno, I wouldn't read too much into it just yet.

Everything on that box (and indeed the figures inside of it) are related to Episode II. At one point during the lead up to Episode II, T'Bone reported that we would see a Holocron in Episode II - but it ended up being cut out.

Therefore, I doubt there's any reason to connect this to Episode III. It's AOTC related.

The holocrons were made for the Episode II illustrated Dictionary by DK. They were not meant to be in the movies. You can read that somewhere in one of the Insiders.

TC, can you explain more about their supposed role in AotC?
