As far as I’ve heard, the Sith failed many years ago because they were too greedy for power, destroyed each other off, thus developing the rule of two…

Fast forward to Episode I, the Jedi are prospering, the force balance is highly shifted to the good side (Jedi golden age). Anakin is born, so the prophesy goes and he brings balance to the force (decimating all of the Jedi).

Now here is my question… just as the Sith developed the rule of two to prosper and survive, have the Jedi in a way, done the same?

Yes, it’s probably coincidence that Obi-wan and Yoda are the only Jedi left, but think about the OT. Obi-wan had to die before Luke could begin his training and Yoda died prior to telling Luke of the Jedi’s back-up plan (Lei).

Yes, maybe I’m trying to see something that wasn’t intended to be there, but if the Jedi do start to grow in large numbers again, don’t they subject themselves to their vision becoming cloudy again and the same fate?

Lets hear it…
