HALO

Postby Ayatollah Krispies » June 10th 2005 4:16 pm

The studios are basically looking at the profits of the games and then trying to come up with a production budget that looks as though it will allow them to make money on the resulting film. I think anyone that actually bothered to read a screenplay for "an Alone in the Dark, House of the Dead or Super Mario Bros." would realize that it was a steaming piece of shit before starting. But then they're probably already fully committed before the screenplay is even begun. Hopefully Alex Garland's early involvement with this bodes well (though I'd just as soon see an original SF/action screenplay from him).

A friend of mine works for Terminal Reality (who makes BloodRayne) was telling me about BloodRayne the movie. I believe it is finished or still in post production.

I agree. He's very much overhated on movie web sites.

1st of all, it was announced that they are doing the movie.

2nd, I think the movie will be pretty good if they get enough money to fund it, and if they do the story correctly.

3rd, it kind of ruins the entire effect that bungie has held throughout Halo CE and Halo 2 of not showing MC's face. The helmet just below the window at the end of CE, for example. That will be demolished when the movie comes out. Just a thought. It's not that important, I suppose, but you have to wonder if they were doing that for some reason; perhaps building up to something...???...
