Not really worth it, to see it in the theaters - especially in 3D, which I did see it in. 3D with this movie was just a gimmick, and really an afterthought, as I didn't really even see that much of it to begin with, except when it was SFX.
Speaking of SFX, the movie seemed to be thinking that more is good, but there were times where I thought that some of Harryhausen's effects in the original were done better than the CGI in the movie.
The whole thing was too fast paced, it just seemed to jump around, to the point where you might get whiplash. There were some just silly over the top things like the gods walking around in shining armor, and just other things where you're left asking yourself "Really?"
You know it's not that great of a movie when the best part of the movie the best part was an homage to the original one involving Bubo. I think I was like the only who got the joke in the theater. And speaking of Bubo, was the only other good thing that the movie had going for it was Gemma Arterton, who played Io, who essentially replace Bubo.
