COME AND GET EM :cigar:

Nice to see Captain Typho has a realistic likeness unlike other characters. The little obnoxious boy named Jaybo Hood in the Moons episode reminded me of the unused "Young Solo" concept for Revenge Of The Sith. Nothing in the episode guide suggested as such although there is mention of Phantom Menace concept art used for some of the infrastructure designs.

Thought I saw some Hammerhead cruiser hulls in the debris field. Second episode was definitely better.

Jar Jar formfitting suit = :psyduckexplode:

I hate Jar Jar more than I've ever hated him because of this show. It's even more annoying that he's not even voiced properly.

what they need to do, after this show has played its course, is make another CG series but use the old trilogy cast! Set it between Empire and Jedi, Have Vader and his bounty hunters after Luke and the gang. The Emperor, Boba Fett. Lando, Leia, and the gang searching for Han and failing. Luke learning the Force from Yoda, becoming a Jedi. You know you'd watch it.

s01e17 was the first complete letdown of the show. There wasn't much we hadn't seen before and the mad scientist/biological warfare didn't pan out well. NO ONE other than Ahmed Best should be allowed to voice Jar Jar.

The second and third acts of s01e18 were much better. The adventure to Iego was fun and Jaybo brought to mind Little Ani tinkering with his robots.

Bring on the Ryloth trilogy and Mace Windu badassery!

Iego was really more awesome than I thought it'd be. This is basically a half-mythological place, in-universe, but it's treated with more real connection to the rest of the galaxy. And the inclusion of the angel was pretty cool. Both referencing and contradicting EU at the same time. :meatwad:

VT-16 - How does the angel from Iego contradict the EU? (I'd honestly like to know)

Plus, I like how the credits had Catherine Taber as Padme Amidala/Angel. It just reminds me of the horrible line from Ep. I - "Are you an angel?" And then I see it on Spike a half an hour after I watch the episode. It's just too much.

Very annoying episodes. Again, loved the clones, but JarJar, Padme, 3PO, Jaybo, etc all very boring and annoying characters.

She talks, wears clothing and is apparantly fully sentient given the first two facts. Which is not what the EU had to say. :)

Gotcha. Thanks, VT.

Bytheway, TNT finally started playing the clone wars. It's on right now, and in glorious HD.

They were OK episodes to me, second way better than the first.

I did dig the combat in the lab with the rounded corridors. The Destoryer's spinning around the corridors were pretty keen.

A couple of filler episodes before Ryloth I guess.

Just one more thing is it me or is there an awful lot of running through corridors and also battle moments taking place in said corridors? Felt like these two epsiodes were verging on Grange Hill (for UK viewers) at times. :browcool:

Episodes hinted at Anakin, Padme and Ahsoka possibly getting into a threesome.

I don't know where Lucas finds these voice actors. Frankly, I could do better Yoda or Jar Jar impressions.

That likely will be filmed at some point by Red Light Studios or one of the other 'reputable' porn studios.

Episode 16 airs here Oz this weekend so we are a few eps behind, but I was wondering, after this season is over are they planning another? Or is this it until the Live Action series?

So far, this series has exceeded my expectations immensely. :heavymetal:

A second season was recently picked up by the Cartoon Network, so we can at least see 20 more episodes.

It's actually episode #15 this Saturday (Trespass) and it's on at 11:30am instead of 12:00pm.

you are probably right there Mike.

I'm glad I have IQ because Ch10 are pretty much clueless, they change the time every second week without warning. I see it is now also playing on Cartoon Network which is a good thing.

good to hear re another 20 eps too.

Channel Ten have handled the advertising of this show very poorly.
They're more interested in pushing that Dancing show every thirty seconds, rather than some space cartoon.

I just make sure I check my TV's built in guide every week and the Ten Clone Wars Site to see if it's on at 11:30am or noon.

I always thought Lucas could've made a killing with a SotE cartoon movie. A direct-to-DVD sort of thing.

He may have missed the optimum window by almost two decades, but it could still work. I don't think it would be too hard to get Hamill and Fisher for voice work.

I've always wanted to see Prince Zixor come to life. My choice for him would be John Lithgow. With all these direct-to-DVD comic movies like Superman: Doomsday and Batman: Gotham Knight, he should consider it. If it was done right, I could see it being a lot better than this new Clone Wars dreck.

I think a Shadows of the Empire 3D direct to DVD would be amazing. You'd need all the original actors to pull it off though, I think. Good thing there's no Han Solo because there's no way Harrison would be on board. The rest just might be.
