This was worth a read. It really makes you want to root for the film to succeed. Heart is definitely in the right place.

These smart folks have this.

Love the line about Abrams' and Kasdan's interest in the film being "delightful" above all.

What I’m excited about is that the movie itself feels like those teasers and not like the movie is one thing and the teasers are something else.

That little bit of PR-speak sits so well with me. J.J. seems to have not forgotten being a fan and that perspective shows in the footage we've seen.

After reading this I will even forgive JJ the disaster that was Into darkness. He even acknowledges himself that it had problems. Good for him and even better for us SW freaks because it sounds like they totally nailed it!!

Simon Pegg gives an interview too nydailynews.com /new-star-wars-film-wipe-bad-prequel-memories/:

‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ will wipe away memories of prequels: Simon Pegg

"I don't really have any respect for anyone who thinks those films are good. They’re not,” he told the News.

I really starting to dislike this Person, who in general lives from the Money I spend with watching his movies.

What a douchey thing to say, regardless of one's opinions of those movies.

The pre-release gushing from Lucasfilms employees has been in overdrive

Agreed. Very asshole-ish. It's just a movie trilogy, not a political or religious affiliation.

I guess I don't get when or why Simon Pegg was ever the least bit relevant to anything or anyone...

He's a notable actor and writer, a famed geek and someone a great many people have a lot of respect or. Whether you like him/his opinions or not, he is relevant. Otherwise this would be a non-story and nobody would be responding to his comments.

He comes on very strong with his opinions, but I probably wouldn't have been so hostile towards an entire group of Star Wars fans - many of which are likely big fans of his. But in the end: who fucking cares. Nobody can stop anyone from enjoying things they love. Unless of course you love fucking animals or young children. In that case the law will stop you.

Yeah. Its not about his opinion in gernerl. If he doesnt enjoy certain movies who could blame him?! Its all about personal taste right?! Whats bothering though is that he insults People with his comments by telling basicly: u're stupid if u think a different way than I do! And thats just ignorant and insulting.

@CoGro: Well Pegg and his Kind of People do try People to stop loving what they like. Its with their constant hate and bringing up the matter every time they say something or write something. I get the Impression of them trying to get every Prequels fan out of the Franchise so they can have the last word. It's always the critics who start the fight again and again. And it's getting so annying and Iam so tired of this!

If someone is seriously offended by people who say the prequels sucked it's probably because they're subconsciously insecure about liking them, like it's some kind of personal attack on their worldview or intelligence.

Again: who cares. There's an entire contingent of people that think ROTJ sucked.

He does not say the movies suck, he says I suck for enjoying them. Thats the difference. I couldnt care less for anyone who doesnt like the movies. But getting insulted for my opinion and my subjective liking of a movie series is something I dont understand and cant ignore.
