Unfortunately, this probably means the end, or close to it, of Dark Horse.

Novembers sales show that Star Wars pulled in their top 4 books, and 5 of top ten sales.

Their new number 1 selling book, would only be selling 10k issues. The four above it raked in 110k combined. That's going to sting.

I grew up on the Marvel Star Wars comics and I feel absolutely no shame in saying I loved them then and still do now.
Everybody bangs on and on about the big green rabbit. The fact is, there were some genuinely great Star Wars stories bridging the gaps between the movie adaptations. And, more importantly, I think the Marvel comics - if nothing else - capture the actual feel of the original films better than Dark Horse ever have.

That's not to take anything away from Dark Horse, I've loved a lot of their SW stuff too, and it's clearly more mature and created in an era when Lucasfilm had a greater rein on "continuity"... I just felt they saturated the market with too many different SW titles. Fair play to them for doing that though if they were selling. I think the Marvel comics benefitted from being just the one title in that sense.

My issues are several fold. 1, John and Jan aren't coming (well, John may, but Jan won't be). 2. Legacy and Dawn of the Jedi properties will more than likely never see print again, which will be sad. 3. Marvel has already stated, last year, that their focus will be on Han/Leia/Luke, which, frankly has been buried into the ground. 4. Joe Queseda is now cheif editor of the property, and he's an idiot.
