I really, really, really hope Kenobi is not cancelled. That is the single most-wanted story I've wanted to see told, in whatever medium, that remains untold during the I-VI portion of the saga. I adore the character and Ewan's portrayal of him. A story about him in the Tatooine desert is something I am dying to know, and would LOVE to write, if I had the connections to Disney/LFL.
The more I analyze the ST, the more out of favor it falls to me. I am hesitant to drink the Haterade with any portion of Star Wars, because of how little I think of the prequel bashers, but I just can't see why this story was necessary, and can clearly see where the logic behind the storytelling completely falls apart.
Having said that, I have thoroughly enjoyed Rebels and the Mandalorian, and am excited for next month's Clone Wars revival. So I do not take the tact that Everything Disney Touches Dies. The various Marvel Comic series have told some compelling stories. Rogue One and Solo told stories that were gripping and insane fun. The novels piggybacking off those films have been very well written also. There's a lot I have enjoyed in this new era of Star Wars storytelling.
As fans, we all have headcanons. Sadly for me, I doubt Ep. 7-8-9 have a place in that.
