Agreed. It's absurdly over-rated.ManaByte wrote:It's a shame such a piece of shit is getting so much legitimate press attention, thus giving the people who made it a much unneeded ego boost.

Fanfilms should be like porn. A story is okay, but if I don't see some action in the first couple minutes I'm turning it off.
I've seen 3 decent fan-films:
Troops -- funny shit
Duality -- essentially an FX reel and a saber fight. What little acting there is sort of blows, but the fight choreography is great.
Dorkman vs Wieber -- zero plot, zero effects, just a lightsaber fight between two nerdy kids. REALLY goddamned good fight choreography.
everything else has been mildly humorous at best, but mostly mediocre garbage.
Lucasfilm has since banned ALL "serious" fan films from the official fan film competition because they are generally garbage and nothing more than a lame attempt by the "filmmaker" to land a job at ILM (this springs from the success of Troops, since then no one has been noticed by Lucas :lol).

Actually, I try to keep tabs on the fan film scene, and I'm pretty sure the Duality folks are doing things somewhere in "the industry" these days, and Ryan (of Ryan vs. Dorkman) landed a job at LucasArts, if I recall correctly.

Rule number one when making something like this is PICK ATTRACTIVE PEOPLE FOR HEAVENS SAKE!! 3/4 of these peeps look like they just came out of Dogpatch Trailer park.
Thanks for the laughs!![]()
Somehow this is how I think the tv show is gonna look.
