Perhaps it's the "bizarre, exotic world" that was mentioned in the last Set Diary "Aayla Secura: An Expanded Role". They described it as a "very alien world" where she leads "her clone troopers against the Separatists". It's one of the "most bizarre, exotic worlds to be witnessed in a Star Wars film".

Visual Effects Supervisor John Knoll wrote:"The planets always tend to be rooted in some sort of environment found on Earth, like a snow planet, a desert planet, a sequoia redwood planet. This, though, is something totally different,"

I think that veranda picture is Obi-Wan trying to convince Padmé to tell him where Anakin is or what he's up to. "The scene that explains it all".

A TF.N poster suggested the bottom picture might be the flooding engine room on the cruiser. I can sort of see that.

It is the engine room. You can see the fuel spilling in on the left side.

That's the engine room, see the fuel leaking and the electrodes that end up igniting the fuel - which rips the ship in two.

Some of these prequel costumes are just simply awful! Take a look at what that Mon Calamari is wearing... I mean, that just looks... bad.

The top picture with the mean-as city scape looks just fantastic...and the subtle OT-style ships in the background looking all domineering...

Nice.

EDIT:

Anyone know what location thats supposed to be at?

It's just a guess, but that could be Alderaan.

Definitely Coruscant underneath.

I don't think so... that looks like a concept sketch for the Neimoidian guard that featured in a previous Insider - the one with the rifle and medieval style helmet - both of which are in that sketch.

Who's the dude in the middle with the funky red thing over his face?

Is that some early Grevious-art?

I could buy that if his face looks Neidomodian, but it doesn't.

Also, he is white in the face and hands.

Every Neimodian we have ever seen is green.

The concept artist(s) know what color to make their faces by now.

This guy is all white for a reason.

Helpful Alien.

How can you tell at that size what his face looks like?

I'm pretty sure you can make out the trademark Neimoidian eyes between that v-shape part of his helmet that's over his forehead, and that no-nose and slit-mouth they all have as well.

Neimoidian Guard.

They don't want us to see Bruce Spence's character yet. In fact. I'd bet almost all of these with a few obvious exceptions are NOT gonna be Episode 3, and if they are, they're gonna look a lot different than this.

I am sure that the "green city" one is Utapau. Look at the Star Destroyers in the clouds...and Obi-Wan appears the right height compared to the person he is talking to...re: set diar photos.

Don't know about the Afro-Amidala look...Naboo seemed more Oriental than African.

I immediately thought of Bob Marley's "Natty Dread" when I saw that.

Anybody else notice the saber on the ground at Anakin's feet? It looks like Vader's handle, but the blade would be coming out the wrong end, and the rod looks green with a red tip. What's going on there?

Has Ben started severing limbs at that point?

I'm looking at it in my Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. I'm magnifying it.

Maybe they think they can slip an early concept drawing of him past us.

I think Utapau and BS's planet is different. I could be wrong, but I was under the impression that BS's planet was a stop over point.

Anyway, there are a shitload of Star Destroyers in the sky.

Well, I took it into Photoshop at tweaked it every way from Sunday and I can tell you this: 72 dpi is still 72 dpi. ;)

I just don't think that character would have such a similar shape to the Guard we've seen if it was supposed to be Spence's character. Kinda retarded on the design dept.'s behalf if they can't come up with something more different for BS's character than they did for a Neimoidian Guard. :meatwad:

I just got my issue today. The Neimodian looks a lot like Nute Gunray to me. He's wearing maroon colored robes. Po Nudo is behind him in the background and they're in the Separatist control room. Senator Male Dee has red hair and a slight mohawk going on.

The Prequel Update talked mostly about pickup shooting. May 17th is being considered for the Wookie shoot. It will most likely only take a day to shoot. Seven Austrailian basketball players will be involved with at least one likely to travel to another location later to parcipate in the filming of scenes with Chewbacca.

They've asked Temuera Morrison back for pickups in Sydney.

The London shoots are scheduled for August. They expect to shoot for two six day weeks and it will take four to five weeks just to prepare for it. Hayden Christensen, SLJ, Ian McDiarmid, Ewan McGregor, and Christopher Lee are sheduled for pickups.

Ron Fricke and Carl Miller (director of photography on AOTC) were in Thailand filming background plates for Ep3. Additional background plates will be filmed in Switzerland in early August and China is also being considered.

looks to me like obi-wan just chopped off anakin's right hand... hence anakin's awkward stance, missing hand and upside down saber on the floor.

The saber laying on the table is Obi-Wan's hilt. It's much clearer to see in the magazine. But that raises new questions, what saber is Obi-Wan holding in that pic? Anakin doesn't look like he's holding one at all. Also I think this is the start of the duel since it's in the same room where Anakin kills the Separatists so that may be too early in the fight for a limb severage, imo. This scene was on the webcam too.

Any idea how the holographic projector plays into this?

The captions says it's in the Jedi Temple briefing room and has important plot points to reveal in Ep3. So I would guess that it might be referring to the surveillance footage that Obi-Wan and Yoda view of Anakin raiding the Jedi Temple.

It's either Wookie or Genosian. The curvature and style point to Genosian, but then again, it has a wooden, bio-engineered look to it. Who knows. Maybe Dooku got a new ship to flit around the galaxy in.

Brain fart: do you think that since his fight with Anakin takes place after he kills Grievous that perhaps, just perhaps, Obi-Wan took one or two lightsabers off of Grievous' belt? Maybe just to honor the slain Jedi, but maybe he ends up keeping one or two of them.

I know. Dooku got his ship from the Genosians. If this ship was a Genosian ship (which most likely isn't) then it would only make sense that Dooku got a new set of wheels. [/quote]
