Mine is definitely in ESB - Vader in the carbon chamber as Luke comes in.

"The force is strong with you young Skywalker, but you are not a Jedi yet."

Luke vs Vader - Emperor's throne room _ ROTJ.

Without a doubt.

Yeah, what he said.

I'll third that. That's probably my favorite sequence from any movie ever.

I've always loved that scene as well. Its like a prelude of what's to come when we next see them in the throne room; almost an extension of it.

But the interplay among Palpitine, Vader, and Luke culminating in the emotion of the Vader/Luke duel is too much to top for me. Its perfection.

look there's so many memorable, emotional, action packed scenes in the OT it makes it difficult to name just one.

But nothing gets me more than that scene. Sublime.

Oooh, I like the conversation on the catwalk on Endor too. First real glimpse of a human Vader. And no doubt, the ROTJ duel rocks. Its my favorite duel - (well so far ;) )

There are a lot of scenes that are memorable.

Wasn't the "I am your father" scene voted most memorable in movies by some poll a year or so ago?

My favorite scene is either in ESB when Han is being frozen in carbonite or in ESB when Yoda lifts the X-Wing.

The ESB revelation scene is probably the most famous scene of any movie of all time.

I actually have two favorites. The gunport sequence from ANH after the Falcon escapes the Death Star (easily among the best action sequences of the entire saga, definitely the best edited one imo) and the lightsaber duel on Cloud City. I think it's the most dramatic sequence of the OT. Well, that and the Emperor/Luke/Vader scenes from Jedi.

I have two as well.

The ESB revelation scene...of course.

Yoda's long speech to Luke about the Force in ESB.

Easy for me to decide.

Absolute favorite moment in any film.

"I'll not leave you here. I've got to save you."

"You already have, Luke."

I get giddy with excitement in how much better this scene will be after seeing the depths of Anakin's fall in III. *Unless George is putting Hayden into this scene. ughhh, shudder in horror.

Other stuff...

Of course I love the throne room in Jedi and the scene on the landing platform between father and son.

The duel in Empire is very powerful and works better as a choreographed fight. Plus, the direction and art design of the carbon freezing chamber is a big plus.

I believe that Han's freezing sequence is one of the best directed, edited, and musically synergistic things in any movie.

The things in Empire on Dagobah are just magical.

The battle on Hoth is also about perfect, even though I'd love to see more ground troops.

Everything on Tatooine in ANH is great also.

My favorite is cleary the end battle in RotJ. The Vader - Palpatine - Luke confrontation is pure perfection.

Funny but the most entertaining scenes are all from RotJ. The Yoda death scene kicks major ass as well.

I can't believe that nobody's even mentioned Leia's gold bikini!!!

Seriously though-- my fav scene has to be when Vader hurls Palpy's old wrinkled butt into the Death Star reactor core!

Always gave me goosebumps as a kid!

Hate to admit it but I also used to like it when Vader Force-choked his sniveling bridge officers.

IS THAT SOOOOO WRONG?

Probably either Binary Sunset or Luke entering Jabba's Palace and the aftermath. Really hate that new special edition song they made that little thing sing though.

A New Hope- Greedo shooting first. No, no, when Obi-Wan told Luke about his dad. That sneaky Kenobi.

Empire Strikes Back- Glimpsing the back of Vader's ravaged head from behind in his meditation chamber. Followed by the duel (my favorite behind the TPM one... right now anyways).

Return of the Jedi- While the entire Luke VS Vader before Sidious steals it for me, I always liked the funeral pyre, with Luke standing there with the force theme playing in the backround. To be honest, I always thought the montage of celebrating planets afterwards in the SE made it even better.

There's too many to mention, but one scene I love is when Luke is standing on the skiff plank, everyone is tense, all the people in the sail barge are yelling and cheering, it's great. ;)

I love that moment, just as Palpy is zapping Luke for the last time and Vader is looking on. He glances from his son to his master and back again before fulfilling his destiny. You can almost hear him say "F*** it!" before the music kicks in and he makes a grab for the Emperor. Gets me every time.

I don't know if I have a single favorite.

The speeder chase through Endor is awesome in 5.1, as is the ROTJ space battle.

I love the Luke/Vader ESB duel. The part when Vader jumps out of the corridor after Luke used to scare me when I was little.

Specifically the tracking shot in the Throne Room battle as Luke starts to kick ass. That long, gorgeous shot filmed through the stairs, as the choral music is playing...almost a religious experience!

Truly one of the best shots of the whole saga.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the scene from ANH when Luke returns home only to find out that the only home he ever knew and all the family he ever had are gone.

Lando opening the door on Cloud City, Vader rises, Han starts blasting away, and Vader deflecting and force pulling the pistol like he didn't even break a sweat. The scene in movie history as far as I'm concerned.

The one that really gives me goose bumps is : you're all clear kid lets blow this thing and go home !"

and the other is:

"I want to learn the ways of the force and become a Jedi like my father"

Awesome.

In the end of ROTJ, when Palpy is blasting at Luke and Vader looks at Palpy and Luke...and then the moment when Vader makes his decision and turns against his master. That sends chills down my spine every time.
¨
What makes it even more fascinating is that there is emotion, a conflict that can be seen-you can see that Vader is strugling even though his mask is inanimate. It all comes from the camera work and position of Vader´s head...thats just brilliant.

The Palpatine-Vader-Luke conflict has been mentioned over and over, so I won´t bother.

Besides that, there´s the flight through the second DS: In - blow up reactor - out. No bullshit, pure professional-ism. Gets me every time. :heavymetal:

I agree. The emotion on Han's face...priceless.

The lightsaber battle in the throne room and
"Your all clear kid, let's blown this thing and go home."

So many great moments.

I can't believe nobody has mentioned the med bay scene in ESB where Luke has just out of the bacta tank and all the gang are there to watch Han and Leia go at it.

"You didn't see us alone in the south passage. She expressed her true feelings for me."

Han Solo: smug, shit stirring mother fucker.

That whole scene is total gold, sharp and actually witty writing and dialogue, excellent character development and killer performance from everyone....even douchebag Daniels when 3P0 leans over to watch Leia kiss Luke.
