I seem to recall when Luke and Han were fighting the TIE Fighters Luke said something like "I got one!" and Han replies "That's great kid, don't get cocky", but unless I missed it I don't remember it being in the new trilogy version. Did I black out for a second or did this scene get cut? I'm not sure because I only watched it once and returned it for a refund because of flaws on the DVD.

What's the story?

P.S. I bought the widescreen DVD version and had to return it because of 3 skips in quick succession during the very beginning of episode 6. At first I exchanged it, but the second DVD had exactly the same flaws in exactly the same place. Has this happened to anyone else? Could this be a flaw in just one batch, or is it general to the entire release? I'd like to get the DVD (even with the nasty colour saturation on episode 4) but I'm afraid they're all similarly flawed with the skipping thing.

Sorry about your problems. Fortunately, I haven't had any problems at all playing these discs. You might try playing them on a different DVD player and see if you get the same issue.


The lines you mentioned in ANH are exactly the same. Nothing was cut.

When ever I have a major skip in DVD I simply wipe down the disc with a clean cloth - use stroking motions from inside out in a straight lind on the shiny art or the DVD.... mmmm... stroking motions
