It's been crazy hot and humid and all that here, yes.
But, I had 8 foot tall walls of snow down each side of my driveway, for about 2 months last winter.
So fuck all the people bitching about the heat. I don't have to shovel the heat out from around my car so I can go to work.
I am that 'broke' neighbor guy, who doesn't have the equipment to do this shit the easy way either. I use a push-mower instead of a rider on my two-acres with a hill all summer, and shovel the 80 ft gravel driveway in the winter. I usually shovel my side of the roadway too, because A) its a good workout, and 2) because I like to make it look a certain way. I had dragons last year, it was dope, but a lot of work. I'm thinking of building an ice tunnel out to the road this year though. I'm getting too old for this shit.
Plus, the heat doesn't bother me. Neither does the cold, I'm kind of immune to the temperature. I'm only cold in winter if there's a breeze. In the summer, I'm confident enough to walk just about anywhere with my shirt off. The heat only really bothers me when I have to go to work. My AC is jacked, and I have to wear a suit. 105 and I'm sitting in my car wearing a tie and the air don't work. I tend to drive really fast, because the wind dries me off, I swear officer.
But the one thing about the heat that's driving me nuts in particular this year is the goddamn flies! I've never seen so many flies, and they bite too. I don't know where they came from, but they can go the hell back. They're all over the area, worse than mosquitos this year. I think they ate them.
