Imperial Shuttle

Postby darthpsychotic » December 24th 2006 10:58 pm

Imperial Shuttle Target 2006 is or was a Target Exclusive and was put the day after Thanksgiving. One would think that at $60 (US) and given it's size there would be plenty around.

Well the Shuttle flew off the shelf along with everything else that was Star Wars. My theory is that this was the case due to no hot toy or movie this year. In fact Superman Returns and Pirates II shit is all over.

Finally got one of these last Wednesday/Thursday. Below are some pics I borrowed from the RebelScum boards:

Saw it and wanted it (and stupidly waited on getting it), along with the Toys 'R' Us exclusive Endor AT-AT. The Shuttle was still around for a week or so after Black Friday. The Endor AT-AT was gone by the middle of November. Both of these toys are based on sweet ass vintage vehicles that have only been re-released once before in the modern lines. The $60 price tag was a hell of a lot more reasonable than the last release of the Shuttle. The Endor AT-AT, while still overpriced at nearly 100 bucks, was completely sweet and would easily fit well with my vintage Endor toys. The Shuttle would as well.

Hasbro claims that large vehicles/playsets don't sell well as an excuse for not producing more of them, but I think that's shit.

That thing is huge for $60. I'd buy it.

I got two of these when it was released in 2002. It was more than $60 then, but they were still worth it. I still display the one I opened.

here

It's an Oz site but they still have the 2002 release Shuttle albeit quite expensive.

Some people have found the Shuttle at target marked down to $14.98

Or if that isn't amazing enough, check out TheEwokHunter's post in this thread on the galactic hunter forums
