it needs all the .r** files. its like one file split up into many smaller ones that winrar gathers back together and spits out as the original file. it's not a lot of small video files.

I'm still downloading it. Only at 30% done. I was wondering if there is any way to speed up the download speed. I'm using Azureus and the up speed is always at 35kb/s but the download mostly goes up to 15kb/s then drops back to 0 then goes up after a minute...then down again. Any way to keep it up and going like the up speed? Any help would greatly be appreciated.

I need help with bit torrent. Bit Torrent has NEVER worked for me. everytime i try to download it never downloads. sometimes it starts but only for a few seconds and then just freezes where it is.

i have tried all the torrent programs and they do the same thing. Is there any other way i can get this video?

If anyone who has a high upload speed can use a program called EZ Split to split the movie in half and use YouSendIt.com to upload all 3 files and give me the links at HomerSmpsnBunny@aol.com that would be nice...but that would be the easiest for me.

If you're trying to download this thing via torrent, well, good luck and hold your breath. Why? Some of you haven't even heard the word "torrent" until this vid hit. Now, you have posters in here (not to mention people all over the world) bellyaching about it being so slow and "i can't get any connections" or "all i'm getting is 2kbps."

I'll tell you why, you have a lot of new people using torrent clients for the first time just to get this vid and, as a direct result, have crippled everyone's efforts in the process. In layman's terms: You have "shot yourself in the foot" so to speak. You need to seed this thing once you have fully downloaded it. Leechers have destroyed bittorent. Ugh.

If you ask some of these nubs what a "seed" is they'll probably ask you how much water it takes before it grows.

But seriously, give it a week or two and perhaps this thing will get going better. And i'm sure we'll see like 10 different versions available as well (without that frickin' timecode and correct AR).

Someone mentioned IRC in this thread. Same deal with that -- even if you do manage to make a queue list with AutoXDCC, you'll be queued for days until the download even starts. The queues are 300 back. Oh, well.. enjoy your last Star Wars movie everyone.

no it is not a user error. all you do is download the program, and click on links and batta boom batta bang. i have disabled my Firewall so that is not a problem.

right now i am using Bit Tornado and i am looking at the time elapsed/estimated thing and it has gone to 52 seconds and stopped right there.

and like i said, every once in a while, Bit torrent begins to download but then stops just a few seconds later. this is not a user error.

well i would do it if i had the movie. the only problem is that my upload is only 384k and i would have to split up the movie into like 12 MB files and then use you send it.

im not saying to do the yousendit, i just need a program other than bit torrent.

heck, a week ago, people on another forum were asking for the 90 MB footage from E3. but emails would not recieve or send huge files so I split up the files into 12 MB each wch mad a total of 9 files. I used yousendit and sent out the links.

took a LONG time to do it cause i only have 384k upload but it was worth it cause i made alot of people happy....afcourse, some people, such as you, are not as patient or as generous.
