Why would Sidious just give Anakin his lightsaber and say "modify it as you see fit"? Anakin has a lightsaber already, granted not a "sith lightsaber" but a saber of his own none the less.

Months ago I posted an idea at TFN and EpX about Sideous really looking old like the ROTJ Emporer rather than Palps in the PT, but rather than physically altering his appearance (shapeshifting) to look like Palps he uses basically a mass mind trick to disguise his true appearance. We keep hearing about the shroud of the dark side, and that the Jedi are basically blind and less able to use the force. If that is true then it would seem that it would be easy for PalpSid to do that. Is that even remotely possible given what you know? Or is it an EVENT like Anakin's rage at Padme's death in the medical facility when he destroys the room that causes Palps disfigurement?

As far as GG, is there some relation between his creation and the transaction with the Kaminoans in purchasing the clones?

Flat out, is GG a rebuilt Darth Maul (since "we all know him")?

Are never before seen force powers on display in Ep III?

hmm I get the opinion that bail, yoda, leia are on whatever ship, it gets damaged... possibly by vader who's tracked them in his hunt for obi-wan? padme? his son? either way bail's ship is forced to land/crash on dagobah... vader then goes after who ever he's looking for on the ground. vader fights yoda... who stays behind and sacrifices himself so the others can escape... then something happens where vader presumes yoda is killed.

FWIW... here's my view on all of this.

Spoilers are best in one of two forms.

1) Periodic scraps from the table - an occasional spoiler now and then is great because it allows you time to "imagine". You now have a week to try to place all of the new information into context.

2) All at once - If we get the script, then it is great because the imagination can paint the movie out before you in your mind's eye.

The type of spoiler info that I HATE is when you have a bunch of arrogant people that withhold info because they try to boost their traffic and then sit back and boast how they are "all knowing". I think we know of places that act this way.

What Tern is doing here is from column 1). There's nothing wrong with letting your imaginations run a little wild for a week.

Now, my questions for next week...

After discussing it with Ternian, a solution was reached. MF regulars will soon have a chance to chat with DK37 (and chat about other things in general regarding MF) and therefore will not have to wait till next Tuesday or whenever.

One of the concerns was the massive theforce.net invasion that occurred today. The invasion is fine with me, by the way, the more the merrier.

I'm extremely skeptical of anyone that says they have info but won't reveal it because its for our own good. I call bullshit and I am fully prepared to eat crow if it turns out this info is legit.

I understand what you're trying to do here, but that just ends up creating a slightly larger group "in the know" while everyone else is left out. It still smacks of elitism.

With that said, I was just informed by another insider - who is controversial in his own right - that there is no way in hell that Y-Wings and Dagobah are going to be in Episode III.

While we are in the rumor mode, I have heard from two different sources that the script is going to leak soon, like this month.

I don't know if DK is legitimate either. The spoilers he was answering to are kinda "common knowledge / hypotheticals" among insiders with only pieces of information. It is possible that he has constructed his information base from several common sources. But, this is supposed to be "the week," so anything's possible.

Well, the whole Y-wing thing doesn't make a whole lotta sense from where I stand to begin with.

Y-wings are mainly used for bombing missions, right? Big, lumbering types that aren't very maneuverable. Why are the being used as escorts? They wouldn't be much use in a dogfight.

There's no doubt he's given a lot of info today, but there's nothing so far that proves he's not some guy hoaxing everyone. His refusal to say anything concrete about the crucial plot points there already isn't some info on out there only adds to any suspicion one might have that he's bullshitting to begin with.

And if he's for real, it sucks that he has to come into a spoiler world environment where everyone has to call bullshit because of every false prophet that has come before him (but that's just another reason to not act like them from the start; no cryptic crap, no releasing info in "morsels").

Actually, if it's "the week" for this, then this may go down as my favorite week ever. E3 (with the godsmackinglybeautiful new Zelda) and "the thing" you are referencing may be too much to handle.

^ I'm with you. I'm very sceptical about the whole thing. I guess thats the idea of spoilers is that you take them with a grain of salt and make your own judgements.

I also will say, there's no point in berating Ternian, or the current "spoiler-guy" because you either don't believe him and/or don't like the way they're "over-hyping" the information release.

That being sad - hyping the "online" release of spoilers about a movie is kinda....'ghey' - as was the huge influx of people I've never before heard of and/or post at either MF.com or EX. That being said, I'm regarded as "new" also, so I'll be careful where I tread on that one.



This is my asumption. We know there have been different endings filmed, and prolly (as is the norm with most major-release movies) different scenario's & scriptment filmed as well. There's not reason to think these spoilers aren't true, because from DK's point of view, he obviously HAS some form of scriptment released to him, either that or he's a very good bullshitter.

So I'll run with that, and watch the carnage continue.
