Im sure this has been brought up before but I cant find the dam post, any way ..the Birth of the twins in ROTS has been driving me crazy lately the more I think about it. I ve seen the movie 4 times and I think its the Best Star Wars Movie ever! My problem about the twins is Couldnt Lucas maybe when Leia was born that Padme had grabbed her hand instead of Luke? I know this sounds petty but if hes going to have Leia say She remembers her Mom atleast maybe give us the impression that it was something she felt through her force genes from a touch from her mother.. If someone can give me a good explaination please tell me. I usually can think past minor problems with the movies but this seems to bug the crap out of me.

The whole twins birth scene blows. There's so much there that annoys me the order of their birth no longer matters to me.

Its been about a month and a half since ive seen it and it feels like almost a year already. So Im not sounding crazy then? I just cant fathom that he couldnt have had Padme touch Leia or hold her for a brief second.That would have atleast given it some thought of why she remembers

OK. Unless she was anatomically screwed up, Padme was touching Leia for as long as she was prgenant. They lived in her blessed womb for crissake!

Also, since when did Leia's recollection (ROTJ) ever have to be connected to her being touched by Padme?

Not sure if anyone cares, but something about this thread peeves me.

It is more than likely that the memories she has of her mother are based on her foster mother, the queen of Alderaan. Plus with her having force capabilities & not knowing it, any feelings or memories could be amplified or altered by the force. For instance, how could she say that she knew her "real" mother was beautiful without actually seeing her in person? More than likely she was shown pictures of her & the feelings she spoke of to Luke were what she felt having seeing those pics. All in all, them being touched by Padme really has no bearing on their connection to her. Remember that Luke states in ROTJ that he has no memory of his mother, so her touch is of no consequence. Just dramatics. The strongest connection is between brother & sister as we saw in TESB.

Leia was raised as the "daughter" of Mrs. Organa of Alderan, Bail's Wife. She has no idea that she is adopted. Luke was raised as the nephew of Beru and Owen Lars. He never knew his mother. Leia never knew her biological mother. Leia did know the woman she believed was her mother.
