So has anyone figured out which crew member's name "Tion Meddon" is an ananagram for? Did I even spell that right?

Tion is a reference to Lord Tion from the ANH Radio Dramas.

This weeks Before The Helmet? That would be nice.

Could it be that we've already seen Bruce Spence's character?

Can anyone around here read Polish? Check out the Bastion site. I might be wrong but I think they're suggesting that red alien senator is really Bruce Spence- "A Helpful Alien Leader"

Here's the pic of that red senator from Insider 74 (large image)

Sorta looks like Bruce to me burried under all that makeup.

I think it was Pablo who said that Spense's makeup was based on a Karloff character, with an ashen complexion - presumably the Mummy.

But wasn't his character also described as someone who appears menacing or scary yet he's actually friendly? Personally I think it's him. Spence is supposed to be an alien leader, the red alien is a senator, close enough.

Anyway here's a lowgrade comp.

I always thought that looked like him, too. Doesn't look like any Karloff character I know of, though. Go figure.

PH confirmed that guy is a simple background Senator, using recycled Sidious prostetics. He also added that Spence's people look very different in comparison to the red guy.

There was a recent picture of what looked like Spence's face covered in goop, that could have been part of making a cast, used as a title photo on the OS. Is that what you're referring to, TooChilled?

Edit: Found it. Looks like a cast or something.

What's the name of the actor that plays the red guy?

He looks an awful lot like Bruce Spence, not just the eyes, but the lips and around the mouth too.

Yeah but consider the amount of makeup the red guy has on. The only things that are really the actors' are the eyes, nose and lips. Everything else was added on.

The red guy is a Republic Senator played by an extra named Nicholas Ferguson according to the caption that came with the pic in Insider Mag 74. You can see the Senator attending Padme's funeral on the webcam late in production. He stands next to the Sio Bibble stand in.
