Remember The Clone Wars Animated Series is going to be PG-13

:chewbacca:

Regarding the look it appears Lucas combined the Attack Of The Clones look along with the Revenge Of The Sith look. Although I would prefer LFL used the Episode III troopers helmet style.

Never knew it would be PG-13. I agree they should have used the helmets from ROTS.

Thats...interesting. I don't hate it, it's just different.

Though Kenobi looks like he turned to the gay side.

Eh, it's alright, I guess. Yoda looks weird. Anakin and Windu's faces look decent. I wish they'd taken a more "realistic" approach. Perhaps it's the angle and the wardrobe that makes them appear too tall. Just have to wait to see it in motion.

Yea, those Jedi do look a little on the flamboyant side :whateva:

But then again it is only 1 pic. To me it looks like they took the cartoon and made it CG. The cartoon had a certain style and this shot looks just like that, to me anyway.

I like that look. It appears they're going for a semi-realistic style with those cloth simulations.

It's not the style I had hoped for, but all in all, it looks good. I'm also glad to hear it's PG-13 (didn't realize that before), hopefully that means a lot of blood and guts destruction and action.

Yoda looks all jacked up, but the rest of it ain't bad. I dig that it sorta looks like AOTC... although one wonders what the ROTS-era Obi-Wan is doing in there. At least it avoids the mullet though.

I would've liked something less stylized and cartoony and more gritty and realistic.

whatever.

For once CoGro I agree hence why I said if they had made the humans and that look like those from Final Flight Of The Osiris from the Anamatrix then it would have looked kick ass.

I've always been a fan of Genndy Tartakovsky's animation, so these being derivative as they are ok by me. I'm more concerned as to whether they flesh out the storylines more than they did in the (micro)series on TV.

I actually like this style more than SW:CW (never got over Anakin's ridiculously huge chin), and I'll await further pictoral news before saying anything else about it.

Btw. is that a new character in between Anakin and Obi-Wan?

I like the look. Especially Anakin and Mace look good. I just hope that, despite the apparent nods to Tartakovsky's cartoons (that clone commando character for example), the new storylines won't refer to the events shown in them. Nor to other EU stuff.

Didn't Lucas say that in the cartoon and the live action series we would NOT see anyone from the movies, that they would be all new characters?

And weren't we told that the cartoon would be like nothing we've ever seen before? Hopefully he meant when in action, but who is directing the show? Has a director been chosen? I hope it's not Lucas.

I love what Genndy Tartakovsky did with the Clone Wars. The animation wasn't spectacular, but it worked and the direction provided was way better than anything shown in any of Lucas's six films. Hopefully the new director will take a cue from upcoming "Unleashed" game and just make the Force look awesome.

He said that the cartoon would be a continuation of the earlier clone wars cartoons. The live action will feature background characters from the earlier movies.

Looks about right, I'm not expecting much from this. Should've gone for stuff outside of the two trilogies...KOTOR stuff would've been more interesting.

Meh.

I think it will be awesome! I long for anything Star Wars so I guess I'm duped happily.

Anakin does kind of look like he wants to be a dentist though.

I have mixed feelings about this. Stansweet's recent comment that the 3D series will be more adult than the live action very much disturbs me. I dun wanna get another Ewok movie for kids.

But anyhow, we're talking 3D and not live action here, so that's another matter. What we got so far of TCW is too less for me to judge already. I hate SW.com's not releasing hi-res images, and the small poster (nearly thumbnail size, lol^^) isn't big enough to properly showcase the characters.

I will wait and see what we get from CIV.

No, he just said that about the live action series.

Thanks. A simple, I disagree would due.

I'm referring mostly to the prequels. Lucas did the best job he could, but he doesn't know how to provide great direction. He just tells the actors to act. I know the actors did they best they could, but it's really hard working with blue screen and blue props.

But Gennedy Tartakovsky provided great direction and each episode left me wanting more. The Kit Fisto episode, the Mace Episode, the Anakin episode, the space battle, the planet battles, all wonderful. I don't think there was one bad Clone Wars cartoon episode. And there was definitely one bad prequel episode - Attack of the Clones.

But that's just my opinion, and I don't think it's retarded.

Maybe that would've been enough, but, hey, this is MF. And don't get me wrong, Tartakovsky left me wanting more too. More plot, for instance! Boy I sure missed that! I don't see any vast difference in acting in the prequels and the OT.

Star Wars: Clone Wars can be summed up by: people pushing stuff with their mind, then pushing bigger stuff with their mind, rinse and repeat.

The OS has a little announcement on their first page, complete with a Yoda pic:

"Come back on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. (Pacific) for a MUST-SEE SURPRISE!"

First teaser?

So I have friends who have seen some of the footage.

The basic summary is that it looks good, but the dialog is really poorly delivered.

So here is to hoping that the voice tracks they heard were only temp/placeholder.

FYI:

For some reason, Pablo is doing the official Celebration IV updates from this site:

http://starwarsblog.wordpress.com/

[hr]
Welcome

The staff of Lucas Online is reporting live from Celebration IV. This blog will provide readers with the latest news as it happens.

Welcome to the Official Star Wars Blog at Wordpress, crafted by the folks from Lucas Online.

You may be wondering: Why exactly are we reporting on this site rather than at StarWars.com? By the weekend, the answer to this question should be evident. Let’s just say certain developments have sent us to this blog site to better report on Celebration. More details to come, but there’s plenty to talk about in the interim as the ultimate Star Wars party begins. Check back often for pictures, audio and video from the event.

[hr]

rather than starwars.com. Rather stupid, considering they don't have a link to that blog from the OS. I found out about it by accident.
