These pictures are pretty awesome. Have they been leaked or is this an official release?

Still don't know how I feel about the Joker just applying his own makeup. Strangely, even though we have all this visual proof that that is what he is doing most of the "insiders" are still saying that he's permanently white. The only explanation that makes sense is that the bleaching is splotchy and he uses the white makeup to fill it in.

Hmm... I didn't really care about the new batsuit before, but now it seems a bit silly to me. The batpod too, but we'll see.

However I can't reiterate enough how awesome Ledger looks, and considering Chris Nolan's previous films, this is sure to be a great one.

Ahhhh, penthouse righto. Thats right it was totally gutted in that fire. Thats cool how they're still re-building it. Nice consitancy. Hopefully we'll get to see some of it this movie.

Verboten wrote:I'm pretty sure that's because it's the stunt suit, which is very baggy for added maneuverability.

To me, the new suit looks bulky in every pic’s – and that’s not necessarily a bad thing. After all, Batman looks pretty menacing in the interrogation shots.

Good point. Maybe the messy close-up is what he looks like without the make-up and hair dye?

I would find it odd if Nolan thought the bleached skin origin was too “unrealistic.” I don’t see how it's any more of a stretch than the hydro weapon, Scarecrow’s fear toxin, the League of Shadows, or Batman himself.

At any rate, I hope that at some point in the film, Nolan intercuts shots of Batman suiting-up with Joker applying his make-up.

I’m actually starting to warm-up to the new Batsuit. For whatever reason, it reminds me of the old Batman serials.

Overall, the TDK Joker is a good synthesis of the traditional Joker and a new Neo-punk/Yakuza style.

Besides the make-up, the wardrobe helps the character come alive. You have to give credit to Heath for losing weight and the costume designers for adopting the Joker’s patented slim-fit tailoring.

These leaked stills are awesome. So far the movie doesn't look very "dark". In fact, all the pictures are very bright and vibrant. I wonder if they add (or subtract) some of the lighting to make it look darker in post.

Yeah, I love the fact that this Joker is actually tall and lanky.

These are pretty much promotional stills, so I'm sure the lighting and such will be different in the actual film.

Yeah, I would say (like the last film) they will "wash" print with a specific post-prod colour, last time it was brown-yellow to match the overal marketed tone and colours of the posters etc. I'd say this time it'll be grey/blue combo based on the marketing thus far.

Yup, you're right. It's been reported that the scene of the interrogation with Joker and Batman was shown in the Wizard World footage and it was washed in BLUE.

great job grabbing these guys :heavymetal:

i've always been optimistic about TDK, but the more stuff comes out about it the better it gets. :)

so looks like Nolan is going for the "blue" feel in TDK, its a contrast to the orange theme he had for BB.

From what I've read, these stills were supposed to be the surprise in December.

I have to agree with Bear "Nice Beaver" vomit when I say that I thought we were lost somewhere in the intarnets where no one would find us. Now I realize we are in the middle of Times Square with our dicks hanging out.

Oh, and if those were meant to be the "see you in December" stuff, you'd find me disappointed. The pics are good, but not good enough to get a buzz going back in April, May, whenever that tag started coming up.

It won't be, trailer is due out in December...this has all but been confirmed, that is a internet-idle-rumour going nowhere.

The December thing will be the theatrical teaser trailer debut.

First off there seems to be a bit of controversy to the origins of The Dark Knight leaked stills. A brazilian site claimed to be the origin but the superherohype.com forum thread was posted really early on. Although that thread's author went out of their way to ask not to be credited.

What's interesting is that this thread was pretty much up for a week before we received the letter. The images as far as I know are still up on darkhorizons.com and even perezhilton.com

I will say this, WB was a lot more gracious than Anti-Piracy@LucasFilm. When we sent the response indicating the images were taken down, WB sent back a courtesy reply which came off as more personable. Then again LucasFilm sent us dozens of C&D emails over the years and MF is still up.

Also MF isn't an island, the Movie Spoilers forums gets attention and there are those who only browse and post here. Just look at some of the forum thread's page views. The Iron Man Comic Con footage for example was downloaded more than 60 times. :what:

Keep posting the pirate booty so we can get more Cease & Desist orders to bolster our internet badass reputation :whatevaho:

Well, so far it's still up. In the future, MF.com will have to persevere through leaks on Indy IV, the two SW TV shows, and the 3-D special editions. :heavymetal:
