Thanks.

I've been looking forward to this ep due to Dooku and the Jedi having to work together. More Jar Jar antics promise to be good, too.

Not the best caps though for now they'll do.

[s]Roger Rabbit[/s] Jar Jar wasn't as bad and and the Return Of the Jedi Pirates were , particulary during the Speeder Bike sequence. In fact the Weequay Pirates were so awesome I picked up the shelf-warming "Ak-Rev" action figga because of last weeks episode. (Ak-Rev is far superior than last year's bulky Weekay offering.) This week of course borrowed from Revenge Of The Sith's kidnap and rescue plot point. One hopes that Dooku sends Grievous after the Weequays for some Separtist justice. :execution:

Thanks again for the ep! Not as bad as I thought it was going to be -- in fact, I thought it was rather entertaining.

The parts with Anakin, Obi-Wan and Dooku were good but I could have easily lived with out the Jar Jar bits. I wonder why they changed the voice for Jar Jar.

I must say things are starting to get more interesting now that Lucas seriously stepped in into creating the stories. This episode together with episodes 2 and 3 are my favorites so far.

The new voice for Jar Jar was a bit distracting, but overall his presence was actually a lot of fun, much better than in Bombad Jedi (although that one suffered mostly because of boring plot and Padme's conversations).

Thanks for the :filez:

My fucking DVR decided not to record this episode. Jar Jar's new voice was surprising. Ahmed Best voices him in everything.

Clone Wars DVD March 24 2009 • Clone Wars BoxSet & Blu-Ray Fall 2009

Postby Topeka » January 14th 2009 7:51 pm

January 14 2009

• Star Wars: The Clone Wars "A Galaxy Divided"
• Street Date: March 24, 2009
• Languages: English and Spanish / Audio: Dolby Surround Stereo
• Rating: TVPG / Runtimes: 88 min.
• Price: $19.98 SRP

Star Wars: The Clone Wars "A Galaxy Divided" ($19.98, SRP) showcases four exciting episodes: "Ambush," featuring a showdown between Jedi Master Yoda and the villainous Asajj Ventress; and the three-episode "Malevolence" story -- "Rising Malevolence," "Shadow of Malevolence" and "Destroy Malevolence." In the "Malevolence" episodes, Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano and Obi-Wan Kenobi lead a mission to find and destroy a massive warship that is under the command of General Grievous.

Meanwhile, for fans eager to own the entire first season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Lucasfilm is in the midst of producing a multi-disc boxed set that is expected to debut later in 2009. Full details of the first-season DVD boxed set, which is also planned to mark the first Blu-Ray appearance of the series, will be announced later this year. The collection will include substantial bonus material that is currently in production at Lucasfilm, including explorations of the behind-the-scenes creation of the hit series.

$20 for four episodes we can get for free right here on MF? Not only that but four more on disc are planned for later in the year, and further on we get a double-dip DVD and BD box set.

These are meant for kids, just something for parents to throw on their $10 Wal-Mart DVD players to shut them up. At least Lucasfilm was upfront on the full season boxset coming later on this year. Blu-Ray set for me, thanks. :chewbacca:

So, has anyone else noticed that the next episode was written by Katie Lucas?

As in George's blue daughter, Katie Lucas?

Grievous looks so lame on that cover. I don't remember him looking that lame on the show.

No news about the Blu-ray release of the series?

I've heard a rumor that it's going to be presented in full HD and the same ratio (2.35:1) as the movie.

Nevertheless i'm waiting for the whole season to be released in a box before i buy.

All episodes are made 2.35:1. The Brits are getting them as intended every week.

Fuck Time Warner. :ass2mouth:

Sorry about that. I was more wondering if there had been some "unofficial" news about that release and what we could expect.

Holy cow this episode was good! I've just been playing catch up, yeah, I know I let other stoopid priorities like working, eating and breathing get in the way of a CW fix (blushes  mainly due to lack of oxygen as I lapped up this episode). Fantastic show! Have to say the art direction is spot on too, with a lovely sombre mood set at the beginning. Love the shot of Dooku walking out of the cave looking all regal. The man (or rather the 3D model) is skill!

And there was me saying everything looks so "wooden still, Kenobi's beard is still a block of MDF to me though.
