what is interesting are the comments about Avatar and how it was suppose to be a game changer and a new world experience and will "fuck your eyeballs" I believe is how it's being touted. But after some watched the 20 minutes at Comic Con this past week, the reaction was more jaded and not really impressed as much as this movie was impressing people. This seems emotional, transporting you to a REALISTIC imaginary world which was causing grown men to cry during some screenings whereas AVATAR was just more of the same 'ol bullshit in a new 3D wrapper. We shall see.
what's also interesting to think about is how easily this thing could fall on it's ass. Those monsters could've ended up being an abortion on screen (and still may but it doesn't seem so). But thanks to some really talented artists like Spike and the Jim Henson people, it looks like this will be something special.
