Wow. This episode is my new favorite in the series so far. Kidnapping children and torturing bounty hunters - that's really dark stuff. I think the Jedi's willingness to mind-fuck Cad Bane really shows how far they have been transformed into soldiers. Anakin even has a line about being a military that reports to the Chancellor.

Some things that stood out for me:

• Ahsoka's desire to exact revenge on Bane, and Anakin's acceptance of that.
• Anakin's relationship with Palpatine in the office.
• Ahsoka being dismissed by Palpatine as a child.
• The sweet-looking Corellian ship that Obi-wan and Mace take looking for the children.
• Bane's secret asteroid hideout.

I can't wait for the Cad Bane in Clonetrooper Disguise action figure.

Good episode. I liked the cat and mouse chase in the first half. A lot of fun. This show is making the PT out to be more and more disappointing.

The baby Jedi Kit Fisto - that the Emperor was hilariously and awesomely trying to taint - looked like the baby squid born on the New Jersey turnpike in Men in Black. But then Kit Fisto always looked like the squid.

I agree that there were nice little touches, but in general, I wasn't overly moved by this one. To me, it was pretty obvious that Bane would get away and no children would be harmed.

It was nice to see Mustafar again.

:heavymetal: Thanks for the thread - new episode uploaded!

Any issue with the aggressiveness of the Jedi in the previous episode was alleviated with this one: Anakin and Ahsoka apprehending Cad Bane and a multiple Jedi Mind Probe attack!

There were many allusions to Revenge Of The Sith with Mace and Kenobi sending Anakin to meet with Palpatine along with the actual meeting itself. Of course, there is the appearance of the planet Mustafar. (Which may mean the playset could be re-released under the Clone Wars Animated label.) The idea of a Youngling list tie-in's neatly with Order 66 and post-Episode III Purge.

Also: baby jedi gungan :yay:

The series continues to be action-packed and very fun to watch, but I'm disappointed that they keep the stories childish and simplistic, barely touching the major themes of the movies. Anakin is never provided with real moral dilemmas and Palpatine is just this boring politician all the time. At least the Jedi torturing Bane scene gives some hope for more ambiguity in the future.

The most interesting episodes (and scenes) are those with bits of decent character study and somehow this usually means the ones that focus on clones.

This second season is definitely taking a more serious turn from the first. I am definitely more excited to see what the future holds for the series now than I was at the end of Season 1.

That was Denal,so he is the Clone that was killed by Bane and whose armour was used as his disguise.

Denal now is like Matchstick (dead)

Good episode and definitely more darker than season 1 was.

I think it was about 50-50 there for me. Obviously Bane had to be kept around, but about midway through I was unsure whether or not the kids weren't going to be kept. Before I'd seen the series at all? Sure. But after watching a season and a little bit more, it's not something I would've put past the writers and it would've tied neatly in with all the Dark Side hooligans that were mentioned in various EU sources.

Finally saw it today, I liked it. Somewhat Dark, somewhat unfullfilling.

I did finally watch an episode in the 720 format, world of difference. I may never go back.

Really? I was thinking just the opposite. For me anyway, it enhances the films. All 6 of them, in fact.

It most certainly enhances the clones, the droids and most importantly the mute, cardboard Jedi extras that were killed off in Revenge of The Stih, but no one really cared about that then.
