Favorite line of this episode: Padme to Ahsoka: "Besides, I enjoy your company."

Outside of that, I really enjoyed the interaction between Anakin's two main ladies. Padme was friendlier with Ahsoka then I would have assumed. She treated her almost like a young sister-in-law which, I guess, you could say is technically true. It's good to see the show explicitly state that Ahsoka is growing into her own during the war. She really is starting to resemble Anakin. She'd much rather be out fighting than sitting around meditating or into her studies.

But I am left wondering how far into the war are we? With Ziro still in prison, I'm guessing we can't be too far. Or ... is he back in prison, and therefore farther into the timeline? I mean, he did need time to set up a meeting with Aurra to hire her, right?

And it would be odd to have this Ahsoka episode before all the Cad Bane stories as well. If anyone could make it clearer for me it would be much appreciated. While I don't mind the format, this jumping around in the timeline sometimes makes it hard to follow.

This was another solid episode. It looks like this season is finally hitting its stride. I liked how the story revolved around three strong female characters. Between the Mandalore episodes, this one, and the approaching Asajj arc, there is an underling feminist theme to this season.

The OS Episode Guides usually explain how the individual shows fall within the timeline of the series. Per this Episode’s Guide:

This episode, more than others, reveals the convoluted chronology of stories from the first two seasons. The Season Two finale, "Lethal Trackdown," actually takes place before the Season One finale, "Hostage Crisis."

In a chronological flow of events, the series begins with the action on Christophsis ("Cat and Mouse," "The Hidden Enemy"), which introduces Ahsoka to the Clone Wars ("The New Padawan," which was incorporated into feature film). Then, the kidnapping of Rotta the Hutt introduces Ziro the Hutt, and the movie ends with Ziro's incarceration.

Many Season One and Season Two episodes then follow, with Season Two's trilogy of Boba Fett episodes introducing Aurra Sing into the storyline. The crashing of the Slave I leads the Jedi to mistakenly believe that Aurra is dead, until she surfaces in this episode, which brings back Ziro -- chronologically -- for the first time since his imprisonment.

The story continues in the next Season Three episode, "Evil Plans", and Aurra will somehow be freed from captivity in time for Cad Bane's attack on the Senate in Season One's "Hostage Crisis." The drama surrounding Ziro and his freedom then picks up in "Hunt for Ziro," the ninth episode of this season.”

If you do an uncensored Google Image search on Padme + Ahsoka, you’ll find that stuff was in existence prior to this episode. If you really want to burn your eyeballs out, do a search on Padme + Ziro. :armshead:

Good episode. Better than the last two. My only complaint was the exaggerated friendship between Ahsoka and Padmé.

Thanks E_CHU_TA!! That info does help explain things. The time line does seem to get a little convoluted at times, but as long as they keep churning out good episodes I won't mind.

In the SD HDTV there is a preview for next week's Evil Plans which incorporates A New Hope's Deathstar Plans and Return Of The Jedi's droid torture.

Assassin and Arc Troopers are my favorite episodes of the season so far. Highlights include the appearance of Alderaan, Yoda & Ahsoka, and the episode score featuring John Williams leomotifs :yay:

Maybe it's just me, but among the Alderaanians i spotted some OT characters "lookalikes".

There's a goatee-sporting Luke lookalike (looks like ANH Luke), a Leia lookalike (ANH) and even a Ben Kenobi!

I hope we will get to see the real Raxus ! It was killer location in the Force Unleashed. Oh and nice to see the series going darker. The last episode looked totally like a painting at places (Alderaan was amazing). Cool to see new outfits - especially Amiada's yellow one (which is based on some character from a movie but I can't recall it now) and Ashoka's. Oh and that Mina Bonteri has some wicked tattoos
