Fisher needs to tone down her recent trend of reminding everyone how she used to snort coke during the filming of the Original Trilogy.

Yes, I don't really find her funny. More a little pathetic. She's quite obnoxious.

I've always gotten a kick out of her. I even (seriously) thought about flying out to NYC just to check out her one woman show last Christmas... and I HATE live theater and traveling during the holidays. Good thing it'll air as a special on HBO some time next year.

As for her drug troubles, those times are well documented so it's not surprising. What I want to know is how she kept from having a full on psychotic episode while filming the OT given all the narcotics induced and strange creatures on set.

EDIT: Also, I just realized-is that interview (see first post) the first time Carrie has confirmed (or at least strongly hinted) that something happened between her and Harrison Ford? Gossipy I know but it's still a bit of a revelation to me. I've heard Carrie mention in the past that she and Mark had more of a brother-sister type relationship and that they both looked up to Harrison as the "big man on campus."

Carrie Fisher = Tragic. I would have so hammered that shit back in the day. Hell, I still would if she didn't have mushmouth, like all the lazy pillheads that I know do. She sometimes sounds so intelligent and insightful, but then turns into something so slobbenly and almost gross, that it kind of makes me sad for her.

People try so hard to look 'irreverent', they sometimes just end up looking like scumbags. There's a big difference between being 'cutting edge' and low class. I'm always afraid she's gonna start making period jokes or describe taking a dump. Okay, she feels hurt and victimized by the system, grow the fuck up and straighten out yer medication lady!

Still, a lot of what she says is interesting. I'm just never sure if even she knows wtf she's talking about. I gotta crazy uncle. He has great stories. Too bad he makes up 85% of them. Once you realize that, those stories aint really so interesting anymore. And that's kind of my issue with Leia here.

Where can I get the Leia statue? Is it Gentle Giant or Side show?

It's a Gentle Giant collectible and easily my favorite piece (no pun intended) in my collection. Best bet is to try eBay, shouldn't be too much (for a premium statue, that is).

Carrie basically reiterates the statue story (among others) in her new HBO special. It's running throughout the month and On Demand if you're so inclined to check it out.

Stumbled across 'Wishful Drinking' the other night and ended up watching the whole thing. Quite smart, revealing, and well done.
