Ian Abercrombie also had a recurring role as Palpatine/Darth Sidious on George Lucas’ animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Wow! Yeah, I saw he died, but I didn't know he was Palpatine in the series. RIP.

Until mid-season 2, I thought that Ian McDiarmid was voicing Palpatine. I think that says something about the quality of Abercrombie's voice work. I would say that Children of the Force and The Zillo Beast Strikes Back were his two highlight shows.

I suppose this opens the door for Sam Witwer to take over. His Emperor Palpatine is very good. I wonder how his Chancellor Palpatine sounds?
