I dunno. It looks 'Star Warsy' enough for me to be interested, but I don't see how that writing angle is going to keep my attention.

And it all looks a little too 'cute' for me, visually. I like the animation and detail, and even a lot of the camera work and movement. It looks great, except the character design/cartoony-istic quality everything has.

I give it a 'try it out and see' 2 & 1/2 (death) stars. But I gotta' bad feeling about this.

Seems awful. Why, oh why, didn't they just make another Robot Chicken?

I’m guessing that each episode will have a continuous narrative rather than the scatter-shot sketches of the Robot Chicken specials. I like everything I've seen so far. So, I’ll be watching it on whatever network it lands.

I really don't undestand the negative reaction. It looks as funny as Robot Chicken and the animation is surprisingly good:

There's a negative reaction because those clips simply aren't funny. Especially to those older fans who are hanging out for the Live Action TV Series.
I found Detours humour to be a little too typical and juvenile and the way the characters have been designed, doesn't help. They look retarded and stupid.
This stuff is great for five year old kids - they'll lap it up I'm sure, but I know I won't be.

There have been more than enough Star Wars parodies over the years - does the world really need any more?

This all looks thoroughly lousy - but I guess I'm not the target audience.
If there's one thing I can't stand, it is this notion that having "people or things who/which we would not normally expect to see dancing" break into a dance routine is in some way amusing.
It isn't and it never has been - especially so if it is a cliched disco routine at that.

With one, and only one, exception:

I have never understood the fascination the world has with dancing.
It's as ridiculous as "Air Guitar"

Seth Green Addresses Star Wars Detours During Online Q&A :

Seth Green wrote:So there's actually been quite a bit of talk about this, but Detours is just on hold currently. We have 39 finished episodes and around 62 finished scripts. But that entire show was created before the decision to make more Star Wars movies, so our show (which was created by George Lucas) is an animated sitcom in the world of Star Wars, so we had a lot of conversations with Kathleen Kennedy about Star Wars in not just the next 3 years but the next 30 years, and when you're in as privileged a position as we were to be able to work on Star Wars content with its creator, you get a great sense of responsibility to the whole. I was introduced to Star Wars as a child and it was without any ironic or comedic lens, so I saw Darth Vader as scary, and I saw all of those messages very very clearly. We didn't think it made any sense, in anticipation of these new movies coming out, to spend the next 3 years with an animated sitcom as 3 generations' of kids first introduction to the Star Wars universe.
