It's beautiful, indeed. I now wonder about the identity of the artists. Also, are these images that were approved by Lucas prior to the Disney sale or have these been developed under Abrams’ guidance?

Anakin’s AOTC saber got bifurcated in a droid factory. So, I doubt that's the answer. It looks a bit like the ROTS/ANH saber, but not spot-on.
It’s possible that it’s not a Skywalker hilt, but one that's mistakenly identified as being either Anakin's or Luke’s.

I have to agree. Presumably, the artist would have made the likeness resemble Hamill if the character is in fact Luke.
It might be my imagination, but the jawline has a similarity to Ian McDirmind’s. (Consequently, Palpatine’s first name has recently been confirmed as
Sheev.)

Who knows if the identity of the cyborg will be revealed in this episode or a later one?

Yes, but it also looks a lot like
Serenno. The image may lend credence to the rumor about one or more of Dooku's decedents playing a part in the film. (Maybe Gwendoline Christie plays the “Countess Dooku?” After all, she’s only a few inches shorter than Christopher Lee.)
I apologize if this has been mentioned already:
Entertinment Weekly has an article about the images / this site.
