• The opening sequence begins on the desert landscape, a dusty star destroyer crashed into the sand. Looks like it's been there for many years.

• Following cut, characters Rey and Finn and our favorite rolling robot BB-8 are making their way through a crowd in the fleamarket a very Tatooine-ish type of scenario.

• Next, we have Rey looking through the trees, in a Yavin like scenario, as TIE fighters fly overhead

• The next scene he told us about, were pilots running to their ships in their old-school style X-wing gear… yeah… orange!

• Now it really starts to get interesting… Towards the end of the trailer, from behind, we will see Han Solo, vest and all. Complete traditional garb, the way we remember his, as he sits down and re-aquiants himself with the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon.

• This last scene shows a gloved hand pulling something out of a pile of ash. As it comes into the clear, it begins to take the shape of Vader’s former helmet… what’s left of it. Here’s the interesting part: Remains of a skull still reside in the helmet.

• We can now exclusively report that the kickoff will involve the first poster and a new trailer. While their premiere isn’t too surprising, it’s still nice that they’ll be sharing both with the many fans that will be attending.

• In fact, overflow theaters will be available so that plenty of attendees will be able to get a look at the poster and new trailer before anybody else. Although the new Force Awakens trailer will be attached to Avengers: Age of Ultron, it’s safe to assume that it will probably be appearing online sometime between April 16th and May 1st.

it's really regretful that we're not getting making-of 'webisodes' like we did for the Prequels. I remember how they really kept people discussing the movie, building hype throughout the year, all the way up to the release. Now all we get is poster and trailer releases like any other movie. sucks.

Indeed! I've been rooting for the Webdocus since they starred shooting Ep VII. I remember how the first Ep III Doc was released in November 2003...shortly after finishing shooting the movie. They kept building and building on those things without spoiling anything.

You did get hints and stuff but nothing really that wasnt clear from the start. I also remember the Insider Pics which where released with every issue of the magazine, giving us new stills and views of the characters and ships. And all the other campaigns featuring Ep III like Knoll Vision, Before the Helmet or the webcam for Hyperspace Users.

The new LFL Owners could learn from George! Remember how even Ep I featured the Web Docus and stuff even when there was the time of 56k Modem ;).

One week until the trailer (supposedly) screens.

Lots of rumoured descriptions floating around, all different. I like misinformation campaigns.

Celebration to be live streamed!!!

Launching with a live stream of the highly-anticipated kickoff panel featuring Star Wars: The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams and producer Kathleen Kennedy, the StarWars.com Celebration live stream powered by Verizon will continue providing coverage throughout the four-day event from a specially-designed Star Wars Cantina set located in the middle of the action on the convention floor.

Verizon and StarWars.com will deliver 30-plus hours of live streamed content following Thursday’s Celebration kickoff, featuring over a dozen panels and events, including discussions with actors Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Billy Dee Williams, Ian McDiarmid, and several other performers associated with the Star Wars saga.

Additionally, StarWars.com and Verizon will be live streaming the Star Wars Fan Film Awards; the Smuggler’s Bounty radio drama; EA’s new Battlefront videogame; and several other exclusive Celebration events that might otherwise be missed by members from Star Wars’ global fan community.

Between the live, on-stage events, StarWars.com will feature live interviews with celebrity guests within the Star Wars Cantina set specially built to capture the mood and atmosphere of the infamous Mos Eisley watering hole from A New Hope. These segments will have a fun, variety show flavor to them that brings a bit of the Star Wars Celebration vibe to those enjoying the event from afar.

The live streaming begins at 10:00 a.m. PST, Thursday, April 16, on StarWars.com with the Celebration kickoff panel and continues with 30-plus hours of coverage through the closing ceremony on Sunday, April 19, beginning at 3:30 p.m. PST. :wookiee:

I'm off to the London IMAX simulcast if i had waited another 10 mins i would have saved £30 to park and the fuel costs! but no they had to announce they were streaming it 10 mins after i had paid, but on the plus side i get to see warwick davis and potentially win some collectibles

it does get me wondering if they will do the same as comic-con stream the panel but not any footage (if there is any footage)
the whole streaming it live for free does seem to lose the exclusivity of actually attending in anaheim, but hey i'm all for full disclosure :)

Enjoy Star Wars trailer day, everyone. We never thought we'd get another one of these.

For years I went to movies mindlessly hoping that I'd be surprised by a Star Wars trailer. Like it would be the best kept secret ever and suddenly I'd see that 20th century fox logo and then BAM new Star Wars.

Now we get it.
