Snoke Revisited

Postby Bandersnatch » December 6th 2015 4:17 pm

Snoke is 7 feet tall: (people.com /star-wars-force-awakens-adam-driver-gwendoline-christie-domhnall-gleeson/)

Andy Serkis, the master of CGI characters from Gollum to King Kong, plays the still-unseen Supreme Leader Snoke who has scenes with Kylo Ren. "All I can say is that I'm involved in it," he has said.

But Neal Scanlan, chief of creature and droid effects, told PEOPLE, "This character is much better executed as a CGI character. That's just a practical reality when he's 7-foot-something tall; he's very, very thin."

Speculation on Snoke's appearance revolves on the original StarWarsUnderworld Report (exclusive-andy-serkis-force-awakens.html) along with Serkis interviews.

The speculation being Snoke maybe another McQuarrie design finally coming to life:

I could live with this.

But wasn't Snoke rumored to have a somewhat reptilian look?

Also, I don't want him being Darth Plagueis. I'm so sick of hearing about that character.

Enter Snoke • The Andy Serkis Role

Snoke revealed? (*edit probably not from Reddit) appears to be a scanned magazine image

millenniumfalcon.com

if true then it's a complete ripoff of Harry Potter's Lord Voldemort

Hopefully, that's not it. If he's going to look like Darth Plagueis just use Darth Plagueis instead of making-up a knock-off named Supreme Leader Snake Snoke.

Especially since both Abrams and Kasdan have stated that Snoke is not Sith.

Weird. :what:

They couldn't come up with a more original design? :whateva:

The Knights of the Ren aren't Sith, but they use red lightsabers. I don't get that either.

The indierevolver report had him looking like a cobra with hands. Seems a little too 'on the nose' for a Star Wars villian and their name/appearance. (snoke-snake-smoke)

You can be the dark side, and use a light saber and not be sith....it's very easy.

So far we have only seen Kylo with a lightsaber.

The other Knights of Ren seem to carry different weapons in the trailer.

I just don't want Plagueis.

I want someone new.

just some fun guesses about Snoke before the movie:

* His name isn't "Snoke" at all. Just a ruse by Lucas Film to throw us off track

* He will look like a combination

of this:

& this:

millenniumfalcon.com

* He IS Darth Plageuis, but we won't be told this in this movie

I was referring to the red color of the lightsaber, and not the use of a lightsaber itself. So far, red has been associated with the Sith. So, if Kylio isn't a Sith why is he using the Sith's marque color? It's not very important, but it's a little confusing to me. Oh well.

Depending on how they play it, the blade was red, previously, because it was a synthetically created crystal. If he did it this way again, it could be why.

It could be because that's what snoke gave him.

It could be because he found vader's light saber and is using it for parts in his.

There's a thousand reasons.
