First info on Rogue One.

Takes place between ROTS and ANH. As speculated, it's about securing plans for the Death Star.

Another new (but familiar) rumor popped-up today. It implicates seven samurai prominent Star Wars characters.

Ben Mendelsohn’s new Moff character is indeed the big baddie of Rogue One. The other main villains of the piece are bounty hunters hired by the Moff to quietly retrieve the stolen Death Star plans at all costs. Vader factors in once he realizes that the plans have been stolen, so he joins the hunt in a supporting role and is none too pleased.

These bounty hunters include Boba Fett, Bossk, Dengar, Zuckuss & 4LOM, IG-88, and Cad Bane, who is from ‘Clone Wars’ and is making his live action debut.

There might some new ones as well, but that’s the core group. So Fett will absolutely appear on screen again in a semi-main role before his solo film.

Here's a character that has some history with some major characters. Is it possible he may play a part in Rogue One?

I've been wondering this very same thing.

I just started reading the TFA novelization, and Lor is described as an old "Soldier of Fortune." And he is the old ally referred to in the opening crawl of TFA.
Perhaps he was one of the Rebel Spies who helped steal the Death Star plans?
Sort of like an inter-galactic Indiana Jones, or the young Father Merrin in those shitty Exorcist prequels from a few years ago.

So if Lor is in Rogue One, which actor plays him?

I'm hoping for some kind of backstory as he was mentioned as an old ally in the crawl, referred to Leia as Royalty, then went on to delve into Kylo Ren's past. Kylo obviously knew him by commenting on how old he now looked.

Rogue One could be the place to explain the character?
