I'm excited about this!

Looks like I'll be getting mine via Target again. I like their cover and swag variant this time, too.

Do any retailers hold midnight openings for these home video releases? I'm pretty sure they don't but I'm not 100% sure.

A new deleted scene fully revealed (at the 1:37 mark) on this week's episode of The Star Wars Show:

Very nice! But makes me long for the days of yore when ILM would complete the visual effects for (most of) the deleted scenes of the PT DVD releases.

To be fair to ILM, it didn't have 4 Star Wars films in 2.5 years to produce back then, either.

Cool deleted scene. I think it's a better send-off for Phasma than the final version. I like the bit where the other troopers begin to show some doubt and conflict towards her before she blasts all of them.

I just finished watching all of the deleted scenes. Pretty cool stuff.
I can imagine they show unfinished fx in the cut scenes because they don't want people dicking around with their own personal extended cuts.

The digital copy contains access to a musical score-only presentation of the film! Rock on, Rian! :metal:

That's fantastic. :metal:
They need to do that with all Star Wars movies.

I've always thought so and was hoping for it in 2004 when the OT was released on DVD.

Back when DVDs were first introduced, I recall that multiple viewing angles and isolated scores were some of the features promised. Unfortunately, such features were seldomly made use of.

True. I still have the DVD of Alien that has the isolated Goldsmith score and raw on-set audio with no sound fx or music. Really fascinating.
Much more interesting than, for example, a Ron Howard commentary in which all he says is "Tom and Meg are so fun to work with..." :whateva:

Title: A Living Force
I just got the movie on Blu-Ray. After seeing it again, I liked the movie a bit more. I still maintain that the whole war profiteering part should have been left on the cutting floor.
