Games of Throne's Creators to write + produce Star Wars Films

Oh woops, did not see your thread before I made mine...

Anyway, not sure if this is good news. As long as the stories and chracters are great, I'm interested.

Well, that's certainly interesting.

Let the speculation begin...

They dialed back their care factor for Game of Thrones because they were ready to move on to Star Wars, now they're dialing back their Star Wars involvement because they're signing up for Netflix... these guys take the money & run

I never watched GOT after the very first episode with the mass-guillotine made me sick. There’s no way to come back from that, and so I just quit right there. So I am indifferent to this news. There will be much less Wookiee arm detachments now, I suppose

I enjoyed GOT from the first episode to the controversial last. I think they would have created an interesting and entertaining trilogy. But, they aren't the only one's in world who could do so.

I don't buy that this is change only due to their Netflix commitments. Disney has rules. Maybe, more so after TLJ.

Is Rian back on deck now? Or, is it Feige?

It's probably Feige.

Was Rian ever gone from his Trilogy or whatever? Or is it that we just hadn't heard anything in awhile?

I can't say I'm not disappointed.

There are two quotes from Rian Johnson on his film (s) recently. It sounds to me like Lucasfilm has cooled significantly on the idea.

"I'm still talking to Lucasfilm, they're figuring out what they're doing and we'll see what happens. But I'd be thrilled if it happens, and I'm working on my own stuff too."

“I have no update at all. But I’m still working with Lucasfilm on it, and they’re figuring out when they do what and everything.”

They're all clowns, & Star Wars is better off without them.

I think KK walks early next year. I'd say Fiege walks in but now I'm not so sure.
