I'm not so sure it looks any more grungy or claustrophobic than the scenes in Jabba's Palace in ROTJ. The lighting and color palette are pretty much the same.

If Mandalorians are "legends" (like Jedi knights), then something bad must have happened to them (like Jedi knights). What occurred between the last time we saw them in Rebels and the end of ROTJ?
