The two figures can be displayed together, locked in the iconic pose made famous by McQuarrie's classic illustration, or separately. Together, the combined bases measure approximately 16.5 inches long, with Vader standing about 11 inches tall.

It's nice to see Ralph McQuarrie's work being recognized in the way it's going to be this year. Between the Hasbro figures and this incredible statue, his iconic work can now exist in 3D. A great tribute to a man who's contributions to Star Wars can never be overstated.

Did Vader originally have a blue Lightsaber in Ralph's paintings?

And to sci-fi in general. I'm hopeful somebody will make a decent Buck Rogers Starfighter, originally designed by McQuarrie as the BSG Colonial Viper ("hello, Titanium-Series people, wtf?").

This looks great, I wonder what it'll cost and when it will come out. I didn't see that info on either the SW or Kotobukiya sites. Stay tuned, I guess.

Koto's Yoda & Mace Windu Set ran for $99.95 so I'm thinking $120 for this.

I just placed an order for this at Entertainment Earth for $99.97 with free shipping. That's cheaper than what I've been seeing on eBay. Also for those obsessed with McQuarrie concepts, The Star Wars Art of Ralph McQuarrie is $50 with free shipping starting Black Friday.

Nothing says Christmas more than buying Star Wars collectibles for yourself.
