This looks like the ILM model shot of GG on some SW magazine cover.

Besides, throwaway villians are nothing new in SW. ANH had Tarkin. ESB had Boba Fett. ROTJ had Jabba.
What I don't like is that he wields lightsabers and kills Jedi with them. But I'll just have to get over it.
If it wasn't for Grievous carrying Saberst it would actually be pretty
Lucas should have just given Grievous what the Jedi-Hunter Droids have: Anti-Saber Spears.

"All of these films have the ultimate bad guy, which is the Emperor. But in addition to that there is the sidekick, be him Darth Vader in episodes four, five and six, Darth Maul in episode one, or Count Dooku in episode two."
Then there is an audio edit, I think. Then he continues:
"So, we're always trying to work with a sidekick, an apprentice to the Dark Lord."
It's not clear if this means anything.
A lightsaber doesn't make you a Jedi or a Sith.

Personally I think that they need to somehow explain how a droid/cyborg can mop up Jedi with ease. Know what I mean?
It doen't ruin the rul of two if Grievous is merely a dark Force user instead of a Sith. That is the best way for them to explain it IMO!
