Not that I ever put much stock in what actors have to say about script quality but since we've got no better news at the moment, John Boyega says in an interview with Vogue: "[The script is] great. Much darker, but we’re very excited... My part in the next film will be much more physical so I might be in the gym a bit more."

And although this tidbit is second-hand info, Greg Grunberg (who plays X-Wing pilot Snap Wexley in TFA and is a life-long friend of Abrams) told the Washington Post that Abrams had some regret not directing EpVIII after reading Rian's script. “He read it and said something he never, ever says,” “He said, ‘It’s so good, I wish I were making it.’ He may have said something one time on ‘Lost’ with Damon [Lindelof], but I never hear him express regret like that.”

There's also a quote by Colin Trevorow recently where he admits that Rey's parentage will be disclosed (obviously) and that the reveal with be met with satisfaction from fans.

The way he worded himself makes me believe - more than ever - that Rey is not Luke's daughter.
