FYI: mcdermd/Dr Gonzo also put together the anamorphic LD to DVD Original Trilogy DVD set - the original editions of the original trilogy. mcdermd is somewhat anal about this stuff only because he's a pefectionist. Just chill out and download what you can while you can and spread the knowledge. Everything at MF is for free. :heavymetal:

Everyone from theforce.net, somethingawful, hometheaterforum, chud, etc is welcome. We will and have weed out the crummy posters.

Get back to getting the other two movies out + the bonus materials, k?

No, that wasn't Guff. That was me. Put the flame on I for that one, I was the first to note Mcdermd and the DVD-R.

I was making sure that I gave credit and foolishly didn't realize that it would have been better for credit to not be posted in the first place. Or the thing about the DVD-R's reported at all.

Nonetheless, this has been put on Guff rather unfairly, so I'd like to apologize for it myself.

FYI, a DarthFirst at TF.N claims to have the bonus disc.

----
There is no ROTS trailer on the bonus disc. I received the bonus disc last night. If anyone has any specfic questions about it let me know. Interestingly, for the feature-length documentary, they use the old unrestored prints for footage from the films, complete with Sebastian Shaw and (mostly) old lightsabers.
Menu is really cool - Millennium Falcon cockpit.
----
By the way, my fave thing about the bonus disc is seeing the lame-ass saber fights (Vader/Ben: ANH and Luke/Vader: ROJ) completely clean without music and effects - the Jedi fight is SO COMPLETELY LAME without music and effects - it's hilarious!
----

Can anyone do an IP check? ;)

Yes, and we've also seen a brief clip of the sabers without effects in the trailer. He probably got that idea from there.

even sebastian shaw had a lkittle chortle! ;) i just think it seems rushed, he ends up looking in the wrong direction imho, i know its pretty much frame for frame remake of the original shot and it ties the saga up perfectly but (and i do love the new shot) it just seems like they got the work experience kids in to film it or something its just the final shot where he is looking in the other direction to ben and yoda, though maybe hayden is looking in the right direction, maybe he is looking at his daughter? i dunno! im not bitching! just reasoning ;)

I just found a copy of ROTJ on eMule.

Star Wars - Episode VI - Return of the Jedi 1 of 2 (DVDRip, DivX, Rus).avi
Star Wars - Episode VI - Return of the Jedi 2 of 2 (DVDRip, DivX, Rus).avi

Anyone know if this is legit?

Ok, I downloaded the rip off MIRC. The zip file I downloaded has 47 weird files all ending in a .r07, .r13, .r42, etc. It has a .rar file (vite-sw6a.rar) and an .sfv file (vite-sw6a.sfv). I'm lost as to what to do with these files. Could someone help me out? Thanks!

Just extract the .rar, right click, chose extract here, of extract to a folder of the archives name, it'll extract the file from all the .r** files...

When I choose "Extract Here" a message comes up that says "You need to have the following volume to continue extraction" then it says "C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Desktop\Star.Wars.Episode.6.DVDRip\CD1\vite-sw6a.r00" Then it says "Insert a disk with this volume and press "OK" to try again or press "Cancel" to break extraction.

What am I doing wrong? :?

Suprnova is notorious for having shit trackers. Either it's being overloaded (too many people) or they shut down the specific tracker. As long as you are connected to a few IPs I suppose you can still download for awhile.

Crediting a theif is known as a "narc".

If you pirate information and don't share it, not only are you a greedy bastard, but your a theif. If you stumble upon information that isn't supposed to be out, you shouldn't even share it.

If you're gonna steal it, share it, or don't talk about it! Otherwise it makes you not only greedy, but an ass.

Other note. How to use IRC - Go to google, search "Mirc help". Quit asking on the forums.

Note on how to use bittorrent - Go away, learn on your own, not on a forum.

I wanna see it so bad.. does anyone know if the "new" song and dance number from the SE 97 version is on there? I thought that sucked compared to the old one.

Yeah, the 'new' dance number is there, and there to stay.[/quote]

Cool beans. I do have a torrent for the Star Wars Holiday Special/Muppet Special DVD-R if anyone is interested. Let me know, the speed on it is pretty decent (got it downloaded in full in about 2 days time, which is good for a 4 some gig bittorrent). :)
