Hey guys, DarthFirst here.

I tried to post here all day but kept getting error messages. Finally done it, but made the dumb mistake of going to TFN where I got fucking flamed.

Anyway, I'll upload some more pics in a few hours, just gimme a break -
I haven't slept for hours and tried to watch all three movies, only made it through to end of ESB.

Will have a powernap and post some more pics for you.
Yes I'm bloody genuine! before anyone else has a go.

To answer some quick questions:

* Luke's saber on the falcon is still white in the close-ups -
but bluer (still very pale) in the wider shots.

* Vaders saber is fixed as the blast doors come down,
but is PINK in MANY shots throughout all the films .
(esp. Carbon Chamber in ESB)

* Saber FX are generally poor -
looks like a few different people have worked on shots; there's no consistency.

* Han versus Greedo scene is the same as the leaked footage -
better than 97 SE but still crap.

* Yes I'll post ESB Emperor pics but the only 2 angles are the ones you've already seen.
I'll post a few more anyway.

The only thing I'd like to request now are:

-DVD quality shots of the new Emperor footage (if possible even a couple different frames of the same shot)

-the "Close the Blast Doors" part in ANH where Vader's saber isn't even colored.

-Maybe Jabba's expression when his tail is stepped on.

For sure, ANH Jabba will be like TPM Jabba and OT lightsabers will be like PT lightsabers, there is no doubt. That copy is a W.I.P. one.

Why would a WIP copy come with the bonus disc? First is right, this must be the final copy.

It is fixed, can´t you tell the new corridor from the old one with the lame matte painting? This one looks like it actually goes into the picture.

EDIT: I may be wrong about that, it´s hard to tell wether it´s the old corridor or the new one.

And I second the Hoth battle pics, is there anything new there at all?

Another change to add to the ROTJ list is that the shot of the transparent Falcon with two 'H' shaped Tie Fighters has been corrected.

Also the sound mix during the Speederbike chase is much improved. Just listen to those speeders crashing against each other!

Good job, Faid. :)

DarthFirst, here's a question for ESB.

After the swamp monster on Dagobah spits out Artoo, does Luke still say the SE line "You were lucky to get out of there." Or has it possibly been restored to the original "You're lucky you don't taste very good."

A very good question. One which I wouldn't mind knowing myself. Even though the Originals are but a distant memory to me, I do remember that line and used to crack up when I heard it. I wouldn't mind knowing if they changed it.

And anyone who can't see that the Death Star corridor IS different is frigging blind!

I think it looks fine. I don't like the side views of the Emperor, though.

That first pic must be from the Episode III documentary on the DVD.

Great the uncolored lightsaber was one of the most unusual unfixed error on the Special Edition.

As far as I can see, there's no Ep 3 preview, apart from the Vader thing. I have looked, but no, nothing. Unless it's a well-hidden Easter Egg? If anyone knows let me know and I'll look, but there's nothin' to see here..

Well I'm going to go to bed here myself pretty soon.

I've racked my brain and the only requests I can think of offhand would be:

-Screenshots of Han's new dodge or whatever
-A few more shots maybe of the retooled Jabba
-Ian McDiarmid's name in the credits of ESB?

It still needs reviewing and stuff...

For example... this fell through the cracks...
- The 1977 Featurette is missing from the official list (Transport people back in time to the opening of each Star Wars film. Menus will showcase all the pop culture features from the 1977 opening such as: TV references, toy ads, promotional partner commercials, news clips, songs inspired by Star Wars, Star Wars magazine and newspaper coverage, classic video game demos.)

Yeah the ESB credits Ian is NOT credited, and indeed Clive is STILL credited as 'Voice Of The Emperor'. The credits have not been altered, same as ROTJ which does not credit Hayden.

I'm just uploading some Greedo shot for you all.

Yes there's lots of Ep 3 duel footage, in the Vader documentary and also in the Making Of The Video Game featurette.

There's a possible new shot of stormtroopers shooting at the Falcon as it leaves Bespin - this MAY have been in the SE, I can't remember it and I haven't checked my 97 SE DVD.

Severed arms of Wampa and Cantina dude are still there.

DF,

Have you tried to access any easter eggs like a blooper real using the "1138" code like those on the Eps I & II DVD's?

Some people speculated that that's where the deleted scenes might be.

EDIT: Also, someone reported that when the Falcon escapes Tattoine in ANH that there would be Ties chasing it in this version. Is that true?

I know there's that Wicket Easter Egg somewhere but I dunno - have tried the 1138 thing - no idea. If anyone hears anything tell me and I'll find it and post some pics.

There are no Ties persuing the Falcon when it leaves Mos Eisley as far as I remember, it's all the same.

The lame CGI from the 97 SE is still there for the Mos Eisley approach in the landspeeder; although they have added movement to 3PO's arm in the first shot, where you see a very CG 3PO from the rear.

Rontos, Jawas etc all the same. Exciting pics coming right up of Ep 3 Vader...

Now, actions speak louder than words, so how's this...

http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/v35 ... rLucas.jpg
http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/v35 ... tairs2.jpg
http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/v35 ... Stairs.jpg
http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/v35 ... ickAss.jpg

I'm not entering into anything else about this being a working print, it is the FINAL DVD VERSION. Deal with it! Whatever you wanna believe, go for it, you'll see soon enough. There's no Ian credit just like there's no Hayden credit. Deal with it and move on.

PS guys you'll notice the aspect ratio is slightly off, something to do with PC pixels being square or something so I'm told. Also, the black bars in the final kick-ass shot kinda roll-in (they're not there until that point), then the pic goes black and white and then the credits roll.

If you're using PowerDVD, you can access the blooper reel directly from the chapter list (Right click on overlay window -> Go to -> Title 15 -> Chapter 1).
Not the DVD Chapter Select.

Otherwise you have to go to the options menu, highlight the THX Optimiser and press 1138 (I haven't gotten this to work on my PC though)

Can you capture the new Dianoga eye for us? (Trash Compactor Monster)
