I have to say I like this design. I was hoping to see something like this. Just without that visor, which they probably added to throw us off for a second.

Looks like the "binocular visor" either detaches entirely or can be moved on an axis.

It's probably specialty gear. Hands free binoculars.

I can't remember ever hearing the padawans going into battle in EPIII, but damn if they do your little synopsis there would rock. Clones getting whacked by padawans until Anakin shows up sounds great.

While George spends the day on this stage, work continues elsewhere in different departments. In Costumes, Chris Kirby, Warren Owens and Genevieve O'Reilly are fitted into their Senatorial robes, while an extra is dressed as Senator Tikkes' aide. In Stunts, a 10-year old Padawan undergoes combat rehearsals. Elsewhere, the Droid Unit dresses the newly arrived Anthony Daniels into his familiar golden shell.

Earlier that day I read at TFN's forums, I *believe* posted by Josh:

There is one line in tonight's set diary that I think completely sets up the mood for Ep3. That line says that today, there was a 10 year old Padawan that was rehearsing for combat. There will be KIDS fighting. I think that's pretty interesting.

I think it's only right that the clonetroopers look more like the OT's stormtroopers when they turn on the Jedi in Ep3. Ironically the clonetroopers in AOTC, the ones that looked more like Jango, helped the Jedi.
