TRIP Report: Getting DVD

Who else has gotten this early purely by store screw up?

First thing I've been watching is the duel in Empire for the OMFGWTF P1nK s4bur!!!

I actually haven't seen the core of the saber any other color but pure white so far...

Time to put in the Jedi disc.

Oh, and my earlier report of Christopher Walkin replacing Harrison Ford turns out to be 100% true!*

*May or may not be true

EDIT:

Bleh. Pink saber in Jedi.

For those in the NYC area that can't wait till tuesday........

There are 3 stores that i know of that have been selling it since last thursday, the locations and prices are as follows.

There is a mom and pop owned video game store near wall street , on Nassau Street that is selling it for $54.99. This is where i bought it since it is the cheapest before Tuesday.

There is a store right off times square on eighth avenue between 41st nd 42nd street. They are an adult dvd store but must have regular dvd's on display in the front. Price of it there is $59.99

And one idiot who owns a DVD store by Pace university, and only two blocks from City hall is seeling it for $99.99.

JR music world accross the street from city hall will have it on tuesday for $34.99, so i hope those people at Pace can actually wait till tuesday and save over $60 dollars.

I hope this helps.

i know its u! ;) was joking! ur right it is like crack, and ive been serving junkies all week they cant get enough of it even ones who said they would not buy it, once they hold it with there own hands they gotta have it! its been a good few years since i was in florida but the last place i saw streetdate breakers was @ flea market type thing(but this was going back to the old laserdisc days!) also got a girl @suncoast(?) in the florida mall to break the streetdate on 2 laserdiscs by telling her i was english and my flight left before the release date! this was 1995 though!
i could ship u a copy but it wouldnt get there b4 tuesday :( there were a few mom+pop type stores on international drive back then dont know if they still exist, probably 1000's of miles away though! (could probably fit the whole UK many times into florida!)

Well, yeah - how about that file creation date of "June 14, 2004 10:36PM" on the ROTJ disc? When did the ROTJ rip come out? Oh, yeah, July.

never thought to check that! if lucas personally presented some people with the disc they would still dispute that its a "wip"
trust me once the masses get hold of it next week there will be cries of "recall" etc! i should be watching all 3 on sunday with 12 of my mates who know each movie to nearly the same xtent that we do, the 1st time i showed them the saber clips they didnt really pick up on it,lets see if they do this time! if they dont see it then its a good bet the general public wont flinch either!

The Wherehouse here in San Diego is selling it for 34.99 and you get a free poster, so I'm waiting till midnight monday to get it. Otherwise I'd try to get it sooner.

Go back to ANH. A couple of times when Vader’s and Kenobi’s sabers lock up (touch), Vader’s is solid pink.

PJ,

If they don’t see how bad Vader’s saber is in Jedi, then take them all to the optometrist immediately.

I'm gonna go to Wal Mart at around midnight and pick it up, then my girlfriend and and I are gonna watch them all in a row. It's a good thing she like the films, cuz I'm gonna be driving her nuts for a few weeks. ;)

Honestly, after watching the ANH yesterday they did a really good job restoring it . It looks almost as good as the TPM and AOTC discs , but the fact that they split it up between several teams of workers has caused some little things that can be overlooked, if your not looking for them. Well all except one ... that green sabre is the one that EVERYONE will notice, especially since it changes to the white core as it was in the special and original editions, and then to a very light blue barely visible around the white in the closer shots, and then back to green on the wide shots. But everything else makes up for it, since like the poster above me said it is a short scene.
