As we get mirrors for the video, PMs can be sent requesting a link to the videos.
Please use this thread for commentary on Return of Vader video and for requests.

The actual documentary runs about *9 minutes in total. What Faid posted is the last 2 minutes.

Thanks Upke.

It was cool to see Vader in action, even though it was just a slight head turn. Still, thats more minutes of Vader than were in EP I & 2. More Vader can't be a bad thing....unless it's in the Holiday Special. :what:

I don't pretend to be an expert on sabers, but the lightsaber Anakin's holding looks nothing like this:

Image

Regardless, I'm curious as to why Anakin appears to be looking up at whatever he's about to strike. Hayden's pretty tall... he shouldn't have to look UP at anything. Plus, though I have to believe the flashing light in both that and the Back in Black shot of Anakin is Force Lightning from Sidious (most likely directed at Windu or a member of his posse), why is Anakin surrounded by blue and not the Chancellor's set? Since the back in black video was long before reshoots, this was shot in Sydney, so if it was in the Chancellor's office, there really wasn't a reason not to use that set.

The only possibility, really, is that he's standing right in front of the big window, which had all blue outside of it. But I kinda doubt that.

Any ideas?

Anyone else who has some decent webspace and bandwidth, it'd be greatly appreciated if you could help out your fellow spoiler fans and mirror a copy of this video. If you get a copy and do want to host it, post a link in here to it or forward it to people asking for links.

Thanks to those who are mirroring already :heavymetal:

Hi, at which point is it believed that windu is going out unlike some punk? At 0:50 all i see is a black n white shot of Anakins scarred eye/cheekbone.

Also I'm watching it in winamp 5/wmp anh have no slow motion options , can anyone recommend a better way to watch windu shot??

Thanx for the pm DP, owe you bigtime

I would host the larger one, but don't know about my bandwidth. I'll check it out. I could put it out on emule when I get home from work.

I wasn't being EXACT... just the shot happening around the 50 second mark. It's the middle of it when the music builds to a crescendo and shows a very pissed off Anakin pulling out his saber and slashing down much like the way he took out the Tusken in AOTC.

It's a 100mb xvid, if someone would contact me to set up a torrent, we wouldn't have 800 people asking to be PMed.

Until then, just try to read around the nubs ;)

If you take from us, it's not too much to ask that you contribute something in return is it? A few decent posts of speculation or opinion are not so much to ask in return for free video and spoiler information.

Liike I said at TFn, it comes down to a simple case of getting what you give.
This isn't a private site, we don't ask anyone to sign up an account to read or get spoiler material. It's open to the oublic and we're the one's risking leagal action by giving out stuff that's not commercially available (or is commercially available to LFL customers). Once you sign up, all we ask is that you do the right thing and try to contribute every now and then. Whether it's posting occasionally or helping us out mirroring or passing on links to your fellow spoiler fans.

Surely these concepts of community interaction aren't alien to you? :whatevaho:

Edit: But that's enough of that, we don't want this thread to get off topic. If anyone has anything to add on this subject, take it to the Communications forum.

hey all I was doing was asking, yeah i could have racked up a post count with the arguing in "is Hans wearing a vest ? or "the OT dvd are a wip", I will contrubute when there is something i want to know or if i know something to help others, there isnt much on here that hasnt already been asked and answered, and as for hosting a mirror etc, I would love to if i had decent internet connection, I thank everyone for the great site and there wealth of knowledge and info, all I wanted to know was that my account wasnt going to be deleted like someone who just signed up for this footage

I really enjoyed this video. The new look of Vader is going to take some adjusting to, and I do think that perhaps the decision to make the Vader mask symmetrical may have been a mistake, as it definitely changes the overall appearance on a subtle level, but I can't really decide pro or con until I have seen it on the big screen.

I'm not going to download this cos I'll be heading into town in less than an hour to buy my copy of the boxset but I would like to say thanks to everyone involved in getting these things out to the fans early, you guys do an awesome job, long may the fans rock on the things LFL seek to deny us....at least for a while.

I saw a bit of the Jedi DVD in Woolworths today, my jaw was on the floor at the quality of the transfer. I've deliberately not downloaded anything the last few months so tomorrow is my big payday....I hope everyone has had as much fun as me waiting for this day, I've enjoyed reading the comments of the last few months regardless.

I guess I'll see you all on the 19th of May next year....til then May the Spoilers be with you all. :D

Thanks again to SVTCobra for getting this to us. :heavymetal:

Via PM, 6 more links to the 9 minute video were just sent out to those who requested in this thread. Also this thread has been pruned of all requests. If you made a request and haven't received a link please rerequest again.

My favorite part of the documentary is actually the beginning where Anakin/Hayden morphs into Vader, with the Imperial March crescendo blasting in the background. :spawn:

I just got my set today... an interesting documentary, though torturously short. I can't wait for the trailer. :)

Darthy, I'd like a link to the highest quality version of the whole video you've got, please. Also, if anyone has a high quality rip of the making of the Episode III game video, please let me know. There are some duel filming shots in there I'd like as well. Thanks!

I know I must be one of those annoying lurkers, but I need some help. I unfortunately can't afford the DVD set. What I'm looking for is a "Birth of Darth Vader" link that I can download it from. I've checked all the other threads and can't seem to find a functional link. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am posting this here since it seemed to have the most recent activity. Thank you in advance.
