It's kinda hard to make out exactly what's going on in the storyboard too. Not really a lot of detail in the buzz droids at all.

From my memory, Utapau=Tatooine in the early scripts.

Yeah, it was usually the setting that was the most similar to Tatooine.

New one up. Titled "Just When You Thought It Was Safe...".

Basically it's "Super Battle Droids" underwater, which looks pretty good, except that the scene has already been cut from the film.

Beautiful colours, though.

The whole scene is being cut or just the battle droids under the fuel bit?

It doesn't really say. I guess it's just this scene which shows battle droids underwater. Whether they've cut the whole of the "underwater" idea out of the movie is anyone's guess, since we have seen obi-wan and anakin swimming in the webdocs.

Well, it's fuel not water so I don't think they would be able to use their lightsabers near the stuff anyway. If you look at the way the caption is worded, it says this IMAGE was cut. There's a lot of shots in all the SW movies that look exactly like the paintings. So there may have been a single shot based off this painting but was cut.

Personally I don't think the whole fuel room sequence was cut. According to spoiler reports so far, the engine room exploding is what causes the ship's distress and requires Anakin to crash land the thing on Coruscant. We still need more details about the TF Cruiser adventure since its sequence of events is still a little hazy.

If one recalls - JR sent me info about the EU Tank in Episode III. The info was posted publically in the I-SHOT-JR spoiler thread but after all the server crashes and member massacres, it is now no longer there.

However I still have the original email + plus the included JR EU fan art collage from Febuary 2004:

From: <i_shot01> Add to Address Book
To: <Luke Psychotic>
Subject: Here you go...
Date: Thu, 19 Feb 2004 01:04:32 +0000

...

The second one isn't a spy pic. It's just something I had thrown
together.

It gives you a few different views of the 'Juggernaut' vehicle I gathered off of the net.

This baby's been part of the EU for awhile and is now being prepped to make the big jump into the movies (a ala the Episode II Swoop bike).

It's the new Clone Tank. As you can see from the pic, it was even in the first HS web Doc. One of it's more 'prominent' features will play a pivitol role in a certain Jedi's fate...

I always thought that vehicle was cool ever since I bought the Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels years ago, but I have to agree that it really does seem out of place in Star Wars. Does anyone remember where it first appeared anyway? The EG doesn't say.

New one's up...

In The Hot Seat

Picture of a member of a member of Tion Medon's species sitting in a chair.

This species concept was originally envisioned by artist Sang Jun Lee as living on a very hot, very inhospitable world. Later on in the creative process, Director George Lucas decided to place the species in a more lush environment.

Confirmation that Obi-Wan tries to change the Jedi Temple's distress call to warn the remaining Jedi not to return.

Damn, that Anakin is a sneaky bastard.

Cool. I had completely forgotten about that Jedi Temple distress beacon spoiler. That shot reminds me of the computer mainframe maze in THX-1138. Electronic Labyrinth indeed. ;)

Yeah there is a Topps card - also, Obi was added to the scene later. Originally, only Bail entered the Senate.

I don't recall seeing this room before.

They did film that "lightsaber dispenser" sliding drawer-thing during principle photography. I give even odds it's in this scene.

Cato Neimoidia looks funky. I would have liked to see that in the movie.

Does this mean Cato Neimoidia has been renamed??

Has it been cut out completely, or merely from the opening?

Sounds that way...it'll probably been revealed in the EU.

Judging by the bridge-like cities, I´d say this was the "bridge-world" we heard about being cut many months ago.
