Wow! That is one kickass photo.

From the looks of the background, Anakin and the Clones really went to town. This also could be the setting for Yoda's confrontation with Sidious.

I cannot wait to see this movie.

Yeah, that's a lovely image. It has more atmosphere than I've seen in SW in a long time, which can only mean good things.

It looks like the surveillance room where Yoda & Obi-Wan view the attack by Anakin on the temple. You can see the screen on the left.

Based on hundreds of other threads / reports here & elsewhere, it seems to be called the "Surveillance Room". Based on the image name "yodaholoroom.jpg" you might assume it's called a holo room... but who knows. Why would they have surveillance equipment when they can sense things - who knows? Why would they need analysis droids, or a library for that matter.

Here's an image of the concept art, middle column:

It's supposedly the place they review footage of Anakin raiding the temple - as for it's intended use, could be a conference / transmission room - I don't know. I think people are calling it a surveillance room simply because Yoda & Obi-Wan review some sort of recorded footage there.

Anyway, the image rocks! :heavymetal:

So are we expecting Darth Sidious to be walking around the place enjoying the moment or does he know Yoda will return there (and is waiting to kick his small green ass across town)?

nope its the temple the tree like things are the pillars and there is the row of lights visible like the ones in the OS yoda pic, i had always hoped the yoda/sidious duel would be amid the ruins hopefully whilst it is crumbling to the ground! but this will do for me ;)

so is mr.G onboard now or is he just pointing the traffic this way?

That is a supremely cool picture.

Tonally it looks the same as the background in the Sidious trailer shot, though that doesn't fit the hallway design in the Yoda shots. Hmm. Why wouldn't the headquarters of the generals in a galactic civil war have security surveillance?

I'll be surprised if the place isn't crawling with clone guards, too, when we first see it. The Jedi are powerful but not omniscient.

In ANH, Obi-Wan knew that something terrible had happened... as if a million tiny voices all cried out at once...

But he didn't have the power to see "Oh, the Empire has a weapon called the Death Star, which blew up the planet."

The Jedi can sense things, but they can't be all knowing. They'd have to see a hologram to know that Lil' Ani done it.

What I can't figure is, apparently Bail does his "midair rescue" of Yoda at the temple. Yet the trailer leads us to believe that Yoda fights Sidious at his office. Hmm.

Let's not forget the fact that Emperor Palpatine takes red guards with him where ever he goes. So just because there are 2 dead guards besides Yoda in the trailer, doesn't mean he's at Palpatine's officer.

I agree. But we'll have to see how all the pictures we have fall into place, because there is still a good deal of info missing. The pictures with Yoda in the trailer are the key. And no, those didn't look like they were in Palpatine's Office. So we'll have to see...

Bail returns with Yoda and Obi to the Senate. We know that Obi and Bail enter the Senate, but we don't know where Yoda goes after arriving.

We know that sometime later on, Yoda is saved by a disguised Bail, and Obi picks up Amidala. If I had to place my bets on where the fight is, I say Jedi Temple.

Anyway, this picture isn't from the Holocam room - its different.

IMO, the walls and corridor behind Yoda in the teaser easily match this pic. If Bail and Obi-Wan roll up to the Senate, surely Palpatine would be there and not in the Jedi Temple where Yoda is snooping around? And doesn't Obi-Wan watch the Temple massacre footage with Yoda? Maybe all these events don't happen simultaneously?

We've had two BTH pics of Bail's speeder on the same landing pad. One says it's a landing pad at the Jedi temple. The other says Bail is executing a midair rescue of a Jedi master. That's about as certain as we can get without someone just coming out and confirming it.

The room in this picture is a near-perfect match to the Topp's card "Yoda's Discovery" which specifically says he's in the Jedi Archives (which I don't take as gospel, but I do think means he's in the temple).

Well, Palpatine thinks Yoda and Obi are dead. And it is "Sidious" henchmen that chase Yoda from the temple. From all hints, Sidious is in the temple reviewing his greatest triumph.

As for Obi-Wan, he was recently added to Bail's return to the Senate. Originally, it wasn't suppose to be like that - it was just Bail.

Actually, if it is was Obi, he would be in all the pics we have seen - but he isn't. And there is a 'Making Of' that has Bail yelling at the attacked Master.

With the scriptment, and other HS stuff, it HAS to be Yoda. No other Jedi but Obi exists at this point.

Right, everything lined up nicely with Sidious v. Yoda occurring in the temple, until the trailer came out. If we could just place that set from the Richard Roberts segment of the Video Village webdoc, we'd solve the trailer mystery.

There was some debate whether Obi-Wan was in the original version or not. The webdoc (also Video Village, IIRC) showed a guy who kinda-sorta looked like Obi-Wan. The reshoots definitely had Obi-Wan. Not sure what was going on there.

I don't believe that the Yoda/Palps fight happens in Palps office based on the shots in the trailer. Look at the door frame behind Yoda and compare it to the three doors in Palpatine's office: (1) the main door, the one we saw in AOTC; (2) the door leading to his antechamber which can be seen in the "Chancellor's Office" Knollvision; and (3) the door leading FROM the antechamber back to his office, also seen in a Knollvision. None of the door frames and surrounding wall architecture match the shot in the trailer. Their fight has got to be in the temple somewhere, and Palpatine just brought his red guards along as he always does.

Hence, this new photo (way cool, btw) is most likely right after he's viewed Anakin killing Jedi and sent Obi-Wan to find him. He's about to encounter "Darth Sidious, I presume."

Well, since we seem to be derailing anyway, the trailer shot obviously isn't in Palpatine's office. However, it does seem to be in the same building, or at least shares architectural motifs with the office. The vertical "columns" along the wall match those in Palpatine's hidden office, which are similar in style to those in Palpatine's main office. By comparison, the Jedi Temple's verticals universally follow the motif of a column "inserted" into a slanted base.

The webdoc set is what's killing me, the key to the puzzle. I've scoured every photo and video clip I can think of to figure out what it is.

Still has that weird CG sheen.

Sometimes I've been fooled by practical objects (Modelwork in the prequels has been very surreal and CG lookin), and rarely I've been fooled by CG (AOTC's digital doubles were flawless, and I didn't know Palpatine's office didn't exist for the Palpatine/Anakin chat)

5:28+ in the Video Village webdoc. The wall behind Richard Roberts (the set decorator) has the same geometric pattern as the near wall in the second Yoda teaser clip. I'm pretty sure they're the same building. That console Roberts is sitting beside is fairly distinctive, but I haven't been able to find either that set or a similar console anywhere else.

I checked that the other night. There's nothing particularly similar. I haven't checked it against TPM interiors.

Edit: I also meant to check it against the deleted AOTC scene with the droid archives, but I just realized that I forgot to do that.
